Sparkle a Lot

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

During the summer, my friend Ruthann and I went to the SSAT show in Raleigh.

We wanted to do the make and take at the Stamp on It booth, but so
did everybody else.  So we bought some of their stuff and figured we
could figure it out.  With the help of a You Tube video, we did.

The design was printed on acetate and this self stick glitter film was added
behind the image.

It all looked kind of backwards to us, but when we had it done, it was amazing!

I'll add this to the gallery at CAS Christmas.
The challenge closes tomorrow, the 24th at midnight PDT.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Oooh! What a fantastic result Bonnie, the glittery foil makes that scene really come to life for a fabulous Christmas look. Clever of you and your friend to get to grips with the technique at home, and so perfectly. x

Wow, Bonnie, luv this card! I lived in the northeast for many years and this card brings back memories of snow scenes just like this. Also luv the nostalgic look with the iron bench and lamp post. That glitter film is amazing and congrats for figuring it out!

This is just beautiful Bonnie. I love how "frosty" your seen looks. I think we did something similar to this way back in the 90's. Only we used packing tape back then somehow. I can't even remember how we did it exactly. lol I'm glad you guys figured out how to make it. Hugs, Brenda

Bonnie, we have trails to walk through, and around the dunes of Lake Michigan. Our favorite includes a pond with the most wonderful bench to rest up, and enjoy nature - this time of year it's mostly Warblers flying through - on occasion a deer coming in for a little drink. I imagine if we walked in the Winter, that scene would look just like this... but not near as sparkly!
HOw fantastic is that??? Thanks for sharing this gorgeous Winter scene!

When I saw this card I was speechless by the impression. It looks stunning. Such a beautiful winter scene. As if I moved to Central Park in NY, foggy when it snows. An amazing journey ... Thank you for sharing this card. I hope that one day I will find out exactly how to do something so beautiful ...
