Stencil Embossing for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up!

Our dear and talented Nancy is hosting this month and she's asked for...

I used an emboss resist technique for this card.

First I secured the stencil on a piece of Neenah cardstock and inked with
VersaMark through the stencil.  Then I heat embossed with clear powder.

Using a make up brush, I lightly blended distress ink around the embossed design.

When I was happy with the coverage, I die cut the image and mounted on a piece of foam,
then to the card base.

This faux enamel heart was in my UFO box and seemed a good fit.

There are some video tutorials on the challenge site and our very talented Design Team
as well as our fabulous Guest Designer, Arlene, have lots of inspiration for you.

I hope to see your card in the gallery at

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

This background is amazing. Both the colors and the pattern. Perfectly emphasizes the melted heart. I love how the colors of the glazes mix to create this beautiful pattern.
