Dreamy Vellum for Krafty Chicks

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Time for another challenge at Krafty Chicks.
It's the 5th week of the month so this week it's Anything Goes.

Yep.  Here's that Dreamy Butterfly again.
He does like to perch on a golden circle, it seems.

I'm Guest Designing again for Krafty Chicks.
It's been a fun month joining this fun team!  They have been so gracious!
A big thanks to all the team.

Since it's the fifth week of the month, the challenge is Anything Goes.

When we were playing with vellum at CAS Mix Up a couple month's ago,
I ran across this video and knew I wanted to try the technique.

It was so easy and fun!

I used Copic markers to color on my vellum then dipped a brush (designated
for alcohol) in 91% isopropyl alcohol to get the colors moving.

This is actually the top side of the color and you can see where I used
some Deco Foil rubbed on the sticky edges.

You can see the gold foil bits better in the next photo.

I die cut my favorite butterfly from a piece of Brusho colored
watercolor paper in my background stash, die cut a gold circle and embossed a sentiment
to finish off my design.

I hope you'll join us this week at Krafty Chicks with your Anything Goes cards.
And do check out all the awesome cards the Design Team has
to inspire you!

I love those soft color and touches of gold. That butterfly is gorgeous and, of course, he loves the gold too. I have fallen in love with this way of adding AI to vellum, it gives the greatest results and your card is stunning.

I love the soft color you got with this technique, Bonnie, and the gold adds such an elegant touch. I have a paper pack with a similar look but I can't wait to get home and play with my alcohol inks and markers.

I have been enjoying this Gorgeous Birthday card for several days IRL:-) I am now excited to read all the details for the beautiful layers and embellishments, Bonnie. I definitely want to try the beautiful creative background. I do not have Copics or SU Blending pens so I will try using small drops of Alcohol Ink and move the ink around with a water pen filled with rubbing alcohol. You always inspire me to try new techniques, my dear friend. I LOVE the beautiful die cut butterfly, foil circle, gold foil and crystal drops. The shine is stunning in the sunlight. Thank you again my dear sweet friend...your card is like receiving a gift that I can enjoy all year long. Love and Hugs...Nancy

How elegant this is! I would never have thought to use copics on Vellum since I have not been best friends with it. But this is brilliant and has a such a soft, soothing effect. Genius idea and awesome results.
