Autumn Leaves Leftovers

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I had a class last week and this card was made from some leftovers of this card...

I had a piece of watercolor and the stencil from a piece that I had used
to test inking through a stencil made from a die cut for the inside.

I was able to die cut three of the small maple leaves from the watercolor
to pop over the stenciled ones.

Challenges:

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Snippets (PB)
Ink:   Soft Suede, Cajun Craze (SU) Orange Twist (CP)
Paper:   Neenah Natural, Watercolor (Arches Cold Press), Gold Foil (SU)
Other:  Re-inkers (Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Daffodil Delight), Maple Leaf Dinky Die (Xcut), Mini Slimline Double Stitched Die (Kat Scrappiness), Fall Leaf EF (Darice)

Gorgeous! I love the deep intensity of those leaves, and I think I have that same EF...must get it out! Beautiful, TFS!

Gorgeous coloring on those leaves! Love the layout too- so clean and neat looking. The piece of burlap on the second card is such a perfect touch. Two fantastic cards, Bonnie.

Beautiful russet tones for your leaves Bonnie and the 3d leaf embossing in the background goes brilliantly. I love your second card too using some leftover pieces too..the burlap makes a great background for the leaf and a sweet little sentiment tag on top too. x

These cards sure do say "Happy Fall"! Like how the cut out leaves are laid over the inking through a stencil ones. And the EF is such a good background for this card.

OMGosh, this is sooo pretty, Bonnie! The layered leaves are beautifully done, and I love the soft gold edge with the narrow strip over the seam for a finish. The embossing is utterly gorgeous and I'm hoping it's the same folder I have. I really need to give that thing some more exercise before fall is over. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Four Seasons!

We took a little 1500 mile drive this weekend - and found all the prettiest colors when we arrived back home! Which is a lesson learned: you always have what you need at your finger tips if you just reach! You found some of the prettiest leftovers, Bonnie! Gorgeous cards!

Wonderful use of your leftovers Bonnie, adding the die cut leaves over the stencilled ones is brilliant and all teamed with the EF to set it off, hugs Robyn

What awesome use of the 'left over' snippet, and to mount them over a stencilled image is pure inspiration

I love how you folded two leaves to create the shade. Great idea. The embossed background perfectly decorates the card.
