Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's Breast Awareness Month and Jingle Belles is having their annual
Pink Challenge and that for each card that gets linked up, they (Stephanie and Lauren) each donate two dollars to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (yep that's $4 total) for each card linked-up.
This die cut ornament was all that was left in a package of watercolor paper and
I figured it was easier to use it than to move it.
I used an old poinsettia stamp, inked with pink ink and
stamped it onto the ornament. After coloring the flower with ink and my waterbrush,
I added color to the background then dotted with a white gel pen. When it was
completely dry, I smooshed the ornament into a VersaMark pad and heated
with clear embossing powder.
The sentiment is heat embossed with gold and I added a wispy leaf die cut to
an embossed background to finish.

Wow, what a gorgeous ornament with a lot of techniques used. Love the pink. It just shines on the white background.
Such a beautiful pink bauble and the flowers and flourish look great on it, and the embossed and die cut pine branches go brilliantly Bonnie. x
Your ornament is gorgeous! Where in the world do you get all of your ideas? I never thought of smooching something after it was colored in VersaMark ink and then applying clear embossing powder.I think that is an excellent idea for Christmas ornament.
I love the placement of the pine branches and added to that a die cut pine branch.
I just must try the clear embossing on the ornament. I am sure it comes out looking nice and shinny!!

Your painting just blows me away, Bonnie! Love the color of that poinsettia and hats off to you for being able to paint around it so perfectly without distorting the image. Love the idea of embossing the entire ornament too. Beautifully done.
I like your card, Bonni. The pink ornament looks so wonderful on the white background. Great idea with clear embossing powder.

WOW! LOVE this gorgeous pink ornament Bonnie. Your colouring of the poinsettia is AMAZING, my friend. I love the bright pink surrounding the poinsettia that really shows it off. The dry embossed texture of the white "greenery" at the top is just perfect along with the die-cut leaf. Gorgeous, gorgeous design and card! Love, Lolly
