Rise and Shine

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

When I prepare for a class, I always seem to end up with a pile of pieces that
I tried and realized they weren't going to work out for one reason or another.
I'm trying to get some of those pieces on a card because my UFO box is
way too full.  The embossed piece and sunflower were in that pile and they just
happened to fit together very well.

When I saw this card by my friend Michele (I Card Everyone), I didn't waste
any time getting the embossing folder into my basket!

After embossing, I colored the centers.  I started out using a sponge dauber but
switched to a cotton swab when I saw that I was coloring more than I wanted.

The sunflower was cut from a page on last month's calendar.

The little bee was hanging out in the butterfly box.  He's been stamped, smacked
with VersaMark and clear embossed before being fussy cut.

Don't you love it when pieces fall into place? Yours fell onto a beautiful card, Bonnie. I love the soft background for your sunflower. I have that folder too and was saving its virgin voyage for a challenge later on but I may have to bring it out sooner.
