Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
A couple of weeks ago, I zoomed with some crafty friends and Loll led us
in stamping white on kraft. I finally got my images on cards.
We tore some copy paper and used the bottom as a guide to sponge white ink
into snowdrifts. After doing a few hills, we used the top of the torn paper as a mask
and stamped a tree repeating the process until we reached the top of the design.
My Timber Brown Stazon pad seems to be more magenta than brown.
I kind of like the pink smudges and stuck with it.
A twofer....
I had tried this on my own earlier and stamped first. It's a lot harder to do the snowbanks
when the image is already stamped! I was happy to be able to make it into a passable
Christmas card.

Two beautiful cards, Bonnie. Love the white on kraft which is something I haven’t tried. You did a fabulous job on the hills and love the highlights in the trees. The cabin looks wonderful in that snowy setting. Love the spatter too. Love the way you colored that cabin too.
Bonnie, they are both extraordinary! I can honestly say I've not had much luck with white ink - I may have to dig it out again as these sponged snowy hills are really wonderful!
In other news - I am happy to report our snowy hills are [almost all] gone!
=]
These are beautiful! Can you believe, we had snow flurries yesterday and the temps today are in the twenties??? I will have to give this a try, as I love the look of white on kraft!
These are both SO pretty Bonnie!! Why are snowy cards so lovely but the reality is COLD and slippery and not so much fun??!! We woke up to snow both Saturday and Sunday, but thankfully just a light covering and it's gone now (well except for a few piles here and there!). Supposed to get up to the mid 30's today and maybe 40 tomorrow, so Spring might actually come after all! But anyway, both of your cards are absolutely lovely and you've definitely perfected the white ink on kraft technique!! Hugs. :0)
Beautiful cards x
Wow, your cards are beautiful. Love the white on kraft. You stamped images look great with the snow drifts. TFS
Wow! I love the look of those snowy hills, Bonnie. I just might give this technique a try.
These are beautiful Bonnie, and I love that they are not stark white but allow a little of the kraft colour to show through giving a more vintage feel, but you have added a stronger white on bits of the trees and also the cabin roof and for the falling snow which works so well. x
Two fabulous white on kraft cards Bonnie! Love those pretty trees covered with snow. Great work on creating the scene with masks. Your little cabin in the snow is so sweet! I LOVE this adorable image! Great work again with creating the snowhills and a lovely winter scene card. xx
Hi Bonnie,
Happy Rudolf Days.
Oh these are gorgeous and I really love the first one with the Trees is looks stunning and those trees and snow hills look so real too.
This looks like a wonderful technique to learn.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT
Both cards look stunning. They have a lot of warmth in them, because the craft background shines in some places to the top and creates such an amazing hazy impression. I love these cards and the technique is worth trying.
hugs,
BożenA
