Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Another NBUS today and it hasn't been in that box for more than
a few months.
For the first card, I pretty much followed this fun video by Lisa Arano.
I stamped the image with Versafine ink and watercolored with Distress inks.
I have learned (the hard way) to make sure that I give the stamping plenty of time
to dry before I start watercoloring.
Smooshing the ink on a palette and picking up with a damp waterbrush works
best for me when watercoloring this image.
I love the deckled edge dies that I got from Unity too. For a bit of distressed look, I
used a finger dauber to brush some Brushed Corduroy on the edges.
The brown piece was embossed with a textured embossing folder but doesn't
seem to show up in the photo.
And a twofer....
This time I masked the grass and flowers when I stamped the moose,
remembering to remove the tape I used to mask before I stamped.
The grass and flowers was inked with Distress Markers which madet he colors
brighter than stamping them with black and adding color.
I watercolored some mountains behind the moose and used another of
the Deckled Dies to cut the image and another for the mat.
He's added to a piece of olive cardstock embossed with Pinewood Planks.
Two more NBUS out of the box and two cards for the guys on my birthday
list this year.

Oh my gosh, this handsome fella is perfect for our masculine challenge! Two marvelous cards, Bonnie. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGs!
Bonnie... so adorable. Love the image and sentiment. I missed the Unity sale...looks like you picked up some fun finds! As always, thanks for joining and sharing with Just Us Girls.
What wonderful cards, your water coloring is perfect, and I agree, those deckle edged dies are great! Thanks for joining us at Cardz 4 Guys!
What a majestic creature your moose is, Bonnie. You really brought him to life with your wonderful watercoloring.
I love this moose and coordinating sentiment on the first Bonnie, and the added deckle edges to the mats on both look great, you made them both look so different with the plainer background on the first, and the added watercoloured mountains and pretty blue flowers on the second...the Pinewood Planks EF looks great over the green card on the second too. x
What a perfect stamp for masculine cards! Love how you used it, one for a more simple card, one more complex. Great colouring, great layering.
I love both cards! They're each beautifully done and each has its own special qualities. I do especially love the greeting on the first. What a face on this guy! More rescued from the NBUS box, yay! A few months is short term. You go, Bonnie!
A wonderful image, that suits, and looks great, on both fab cards. x
What a great image. I am so glad he has made 2 appearances on these cards. They are both wonderful xx
Two wonderful masculine cards with that moose image. Love your watercolored mountains and pretty blue flowers on the 2nd card. The deckled edged mats look great.
