Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I had some die cut rosebuds left from my last class.
I colored these pink like we did in the class.
They were cut from mixed media paper. We colored them using finger daubers to add
ink then touching with a damp watercolor brush. It's a good way to get a watercolor look
for those that are hesitant to do watercoloring.
I added some splattering and added them over a stitched, die cut heart.
There were two more left...
I used the same technique to color them but used red ink instead of pink and
added them over a larger die cut heart.
The embossed backgrounds don't show up well in the photos, but it's there.

Your roses are absolutely beautiful, I just saw on the news where Roses for Valentine's this year would cost you $95.50 a dozen, I would prefer a card like yours!!!
Thank you for joining our challenge at Triple B and Double D!

Lucky you to have all these darling rose buds, Bonnie! Beautiful in pink and red - have I told you lately how much I love that skinny black border? It packs a punch of pretty!
=]
Your roses are so lovely, Bonnie, and I love the idea of inking them and then moving ink with a water brush to make it look watercolored. The stitched hearts turned them into beautiful Valentine's. Thanks for sharing the pink one with us at The Flower Challenge.
Your rosebuds are beautiful in pink and red. Love how you colored them and placed them over the die cut hearts. Beautiful cards.
Both of your cards are CAS beauties Bonnie!! I love how you water colored the buds and framed them out so simply...such elegant cards!! Hugs. :0)
Both gorgeous cards, love the rosebuds and the design of each card. x
Two lovely designs with your leftover roses! They are beautifully coloured, and look perfect against the hearts.
What great ways to use up your left overs. Such pretty cards xx
Hmmm... what a clever way to color those lovely rosebuds! I love the white splatters on the first, and I can see the embossing a little bit. You used ribbon, too! They're both just beautiful, Bonnie!
ps: Sorry, I forgot to thank you for playing along with us at Double D!
