Tulip Blooms for Color Hues

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for another challenge from Color Hues and Julie has
chosen perfect colors to remind us that spring is around the corner.

The colors she chose are....

I've had a lot of fun playing with my Waffle Flower tulips lately and since I love
yellow tulips, it was an easy choice of what stamp to use.  Luckily I got the dies too.

I stamped on mixed media paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and after waiting for
it to dry, I laid the die cut flowers on another piece of mixed media paper and messily
watercolored with Distress Re-inkers

My messy watercoloring adds some of the color to the background for the
tulips to rest against.

The very talented Design Team and our Guest Designer, my dear friend Michele, have some
beautiful cards to inspire you.  I can't wait to see what you can do with these colors!

Please join us at Color Hues
This challenge is open until March 29th at 9:00 AM EDT.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Tulips (WF), Encouragement Phrases (Rubbernecker)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black, Twisted Citron
Paper:   Mixed Media (Strathmore), Neenah Natural
Other:  Distress Re-inker (Mustard Seed), Tulip Matching Die (WF)

Enjoy!

Great minds craft alike, too? Oh, Bonnie, I adore your bright lemon-y yellow tulips! You know these from Waffle Flower continue to be among my favorites, too!
Thanks so much for the invitation to play with you and your team, my friend!

Love the tulips, but was wondering why you didn't simply stamp them on the card (and not die cutting)??

Beautiful card, Bonnie! Yellow tulips are such happy flowers and I really like this bunch. Hugs my friend.

Those are glorious yellow tulips, Bonnie! No tulips in my yard yet, but I sure hope they're as beautiful as your card.

I love yellow tulips too, Bonnie. The ones on your card are beautiful and look great against the bit of watercolouring on the background.

Beautiful yellow tulips on your beautiful card. I like the way your "messy watercoloring" of the tulips made a great background for them.

What a gorgeous bunch of Tulips, Bonnie. As always your watercoloring magic cascades over to the background. Wonderful job with these colors. I hope Spring has arrived for you too.

Your 'messy' watercoloring looks pretty spot on to me, Bonnie, and I love the way it washes over the background. Those tulips are a lovely sign of Spring.

I love how you can take "messy" and turn it into "BEAUTIFUL"! These are the prettiest tulips, colored in the prettiest colors!

Gorgeous tulips, and yellow... sigh. Your messy watercoloring is a brilliant idea for creating a background at the same time. I adore this card, Bonnie!
