Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I rarely use any of the stash of stencils that I have. This isn't the first time I used this
two stencil set and I've yet to get it right. Or maybe the pollen is making my eyes play tricks.
I also rarely do a sketch challenge, but this sketch is one of my favorites and I thought
it would work well for a money holder for one of my grandsons.
Along with the stencil, I embossed two strips and used some Copics to add a
bit of shading to Mr. Gull. There's a pocket on the inside to hold the money.
That's their favorite part!

A great card for a grandson. I hardly ever use stencils either but this makes me want to get them out after seeing what a great job you did with yours. That is a sweet face you could love!
I just love that gull all up close and personal like that, Bonnie. Such a fun card with a mix of stenciling and embossing.
Gull-y, Bonnie, he is does make a statement, doesn't he? SO cute and bound to make a splash with your grandson - $$ or not!
=]
The stenciling looks fine to me Bonnie, and the embossing is wonderful too, but the seagull takes the cake...his face with that blank stare is just a hoot! Wonderful $$ holder idea too! I'm sure your grandson will love the cash gift but also the card!! Hugs. :0)
Maybe I have pollen in my eyes, too, because it looks great to me, Bon! I love that gull and he loves being the star with a wonderful ocean and seashell background! Thank you for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and linking your stencil to motivate others! Hugs, Dolly

I love this fun seagull Bonnie, and the strip of stencilled waves with the added dry embossing covered with seashells gives the perfect look to accompany it, and your grandson will love this, but of course also the contents..lol. x
I have the same problem with a cloud stencil, but there's something about this water that looks pretty great to me! The combo with the seashells embossing and the seagull is absolutely fabulous!
Mr. Gull is cute with that blue wavy strip. I am sure your grandson will like him. I know what you mean about the money being the best part. :)
