Ginkgo Happiness

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Did you know that the Ginkgo tree is believed to be a living fossil and a symbol
of peace, hope and vitality?  According to Google that's the case.

It seemed to me that it was perfect paired with this Irish blessing.

I found this blessing as a digi image at Etsy, since I didn't have a stamp with it.

The ginkgo was die cut from watercolor paper and I used Distress re-inkers and
a waterbrush to color it.  There are two pieces to each leaf so I used a darker color
on the base and lighter color on the top piece.

Since the sentiment was already printed on the cardstock, I let it sit for a day to
make sure the ink was good and dry, then embossed the whole piece.

Challenges:
Can You Handle the Pressure - Use an embossing folder - twist of Lucky or St. Patrick's Day
Just Us Girls #766 - Word Week - Green
Word Power - Make the sentiment the focus of the card

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Irish Blessing Digi (Crafty AKel)
Ink:   Rustic Wilderness, Twisted Citron
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Mixed Media (Strathmore)
Other:  Sealed Ginkgo (SB), Burlap EF (HB)

Enjoy!

Anyone would love to receive this blessing, Bonnie, and the Gingko leaves compliment it beautifully.

I did not know that little tidbit about Ginkgo - or maybe I did and have forgotten it? wink.
That blessing is wonderful - Irish or not, I'm taking it, please and thank you!
I have a friend who clear heat embosses her printed sentiments before they dry, right out of the printer! But I think your dry and emboss feature is perfect - such a wonderful card, Bonnie!

What a wonderful combination of the old Irish blessing and the gingko leaves. Gingko leaves are just so beautiful! I haven't seen that burlap embossing folder before but I really like the texture it gives.

A gorgeous card so beautifully designed. Too bad the ginkgo tree wouldn't grow in Michigan as I certainly could use one if that is what it means, I could use a little peace, hope and vitality!!
