Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's been quiet on my blog. Between life and preparing for a class,
there hasn't been much time to create for a challenge or just for fun.
After coloring this ginkgo as a possibility for the class and deciding to go in
another direction, I put it on a card instead of in the UFO pile.
It's very simple but will be good to send to a friend in the skilled nursing home
for this month. Maybe it will help her to enjoy St. Patrick's Day a little more.
I die cut the ginkgo from Neenah Solar White and colored with a finger dauber
and green ink. I went over the stem with a Gold Sharpie.
The Modern Ovals dies are new to me and I do love the shape. This embossing folder
is fairly new to me and the sentiment is ages old.
My dear friend Darnell has some I.D.E.A.S. to help us out of a slump and
she's added a linky at her blog so we can join her.

Bonnie, I love your new ovals, and such a pretty little ginkgo will surely show your friend that she isn't forgotten - in really beautiful way!

The new oval dies are a lovely shape Bonnie and show off the pretty gingko leaves beautifully, and the Texture dry embossing makes a perfect background, and your friend who is in a nursing home will really enjoy receiving it for St. Patrick's Day. x
Pretty CAS card Bonnie. I love the Modern Oval dies with the ginkgo, plus the texture on your background. I know your friend will love it too. TFS
You're getting mileage out of those gingko leaves. Very pretty and I do love that oval die. Gonna have to come borrow that and cut some up. ;)
This is brilliant, Bon! I don't have a shamrock stamp because I don't send cards for SPD, but I might now, now that I see that my gingko leaves work beautifully! Thank you for linking your I.D.E.A.S. design! Hugs, Darnell (You can also add this to Color Hues "Green and White" challenge!)
Sending blessings to your friend with this lovely card is such a thoughtful thing to do, Bonnie. I have those ovals, thinking I was ordering something else, and have only used them once. They framed the gingko leaves beautifully.
this is gorgeous. I love it xx
Beautiful CAS design, Bonnie!

Kudos for using that "gone in another direction" die. Your Gingko is wonderful, as is the design and lovely texture! Your friend will love it, I'm sure
Your little ginko's are perfect for St. Paddy's day and fit into the oval perfectly! Love the embossed background too. Your friend will be delighted with this lovely card Bonnie!! Hugs. :0)
This is a lovely way to send your friend some extra blessing, Bonnie!
Really lovely card Bonnie. The gingko is verdant and green and certainly reminds me of spring and new beginnings. Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards
I, too, am using the I.D.E.A.S. to get back into making cards. Your oval is perfect to showcase the ginkgo leaves and it is so pretty. Sending a card to the nursing home patient is such a wonderful idea. Sometimes they don't get much mail and this is sure to life her spirits.
I'm so glad you put it on a card because it's beautiful! I really like the elongated oval and the petite embossed pattern behind it. I also really like that you shared your lovely green gingko leaves with us at Double D. Thanks, Bonnie!
Beautiful CAS creation! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Double D, Going Green Challenge. Donna, DT Member.
