Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
This past week I've taken a dive into my stencils. It was mainly because I was
invited to Seize the Birthday as a Surprise Party Guest and the challenge is A CAS card
using a stencil. This was my first try and it would have worked fine except that I was
careless when I went back to emboss again after coloring and got a crease on the
front of the card.
Hence the sentiment layers. They work to cover up the boo boo, but took
some of the clean and simple out of the card front.
The photo doesn't show the texture from the embossing. That's my favorite part of this card.
Lucky me that Lisa at Just Us Girls is asking for Anything Goes with a stencil.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Special Sentiments (PB)
Ink: Early Espresso (SU), Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss, Vintage Photo (DI)
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Early Espresso
Other: Berried Cottoneaster EF & Stencil (Alt)

Bonnie, you have really brought that one to life with the blends of ink on the berries and leaves! That embossing folder always creases my paper, too! Your cover-up looks just great!

Beautiful and so realistic. This is a great stencil Love the colors and design. Glad you were able to cover up the crease with your design.
Great save, Bonnie! No one would ever want to waste such a pretty embossed and inked panel like this one -- beautiful!
Beautiful! The colors really pop especially the leaves.

Wonderful job coloring those berries, Bonnie, and I see you had some inspiration to help you along. ; ) Sorry about the mishap but you recovered beautifully. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
Your inking is so beautiful that the sentiment strip doesn't take away from the beauty of the card at all Bonnie! Absolutely GORGEOUS card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

The berry sprig is beautiful! I'm fond of cotoneaster, both here and in my garden, and in the wild. It makes a rich and reliable statement. You did a great save over that wrinkle, Bonnie! I wouldn't have guessed.
Bonnie, I knew the embossing is there and the stenciling is perfect. It is a lovely CAS card! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls!
That berry branch is beautiful and your stenciling is gorgeous! I love the depth you have achieved on this beauty and that sentiment strip is a perfect addition with or without covering up a boo boo. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
