Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I kept thinking this needed a spot of color, but in the end, the black
sentiment strip did the trick.
I used a set that was a gift from a sweet blogging friend
These vintage flowers have wonderful shading and although I think they'd
be beautiful colored, they stand out in black and white.
I stamped the butterfly again on a piece of scrap and fussy cut it out to pop
over the stamped one. Some tiny gems gave some extra interest and a foiled
sentiment finishes it off.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Summer has come back for a few days
but we'll be back to that lovely fall weather next week.

Good morning Bonnie. Very formal and I like it. The black and white definitely makes a statement.

Bonnie, it is stunning just as you've used it! The black sentiment strip was indeed the perfect finishing touch.

The detail in the stamp makes it perfect for leaving it black, Bonnie, and the sentiment strip was a great way to fill that open spot.
Great choice to let that beautiful stamp shine on its own! While it'll be beautiful colored, it really takes on a whole new personality with the b&w -- amazing
It's absolutely stunning in black and white! Sometimes no color is best for bringing out the beauty of the certain stamps. I can imagine they'd be gorgeous colored, too, though. You're right about how the black sentiment strip does the trick of bringing impact to the overall design. It's all just gorgeous!
This image was meant to be turned into a black and white card! So pretty, Bonnie!
You are right about those flowers. They look stunning in black and white. I am glad you didn't colour them. Your card is stunning xx
This is beautifully balanced, Bonnie! Such a pretty card in just black and white. I think the dark sentiment did the trick too. Thanks for playing at Seize the Birthday and for using the Topping.

What a lovely card in black & white Bonnie. Love the layered butterfly and yes, that black sentiment die the trick. No color needed. Thanks for sharing with us at Seize the Birthday.
Did the trick (not die) :)
The flowers would be beautiful colored Bonnie, but they and the whole card are so striking in the black & white...no color needed!! Classy and absolutely beautiful my friend!! Hugs. :0)
I'd never have thought of doing a flower card like that just in black and white, but I love the look of it so will probably CASE your card at some point. It's so elegant!
Looking at this card again - Beautiful!!!! This design would be gorgeous with colors too. Lucky you to be gifted such a versatile stamp.
