Falling Leaves

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It was a busy weekend with classes and this card is a spinoff from
a card we did for the classes.

Some of the leftover leaves made me think of dear friend Michele's sketch at
Freshly Made Sketches.

Here's her sketch...

For the leaves, I had wet a piece of watercolor paper and dropped re-inker into
the water, moving it around a bit with the waterbrush.  I dried between colors and left
space for other colors.  One piece ended up too light and the other too dark so it
balanced the leaves out.

Here's the card for class.

It used a different embossing folder and the corner was folded instead of torn.
There were fewer leaves too, including one that was "invisible" and needed
a closer look to find it!

I wish you all could have come and stamped with me!

Your posts usually start me singing. Flash Bang, the minute I saw your post I started singing - "the autumn leaves drift by my window, the autumn leaves of red and gold."
Your creation truly is a winner. Such calming colors especially pared with chocolate brown. In all honesty, we should give thanks all year long. Your card could be used in many different ways such as "Just
a Note" cards or male birthday cards.

I wish I could have come and stamped with you too, Bonnie. It's been too long. The divided panel is a wonderful way to add more interest and the leaves definitely have all the Fall colors.

Beautiful cards, both in class and out! The sketch worked perfectly, and your leaves are definitely showing their Fall age. The folded corner of your class card is a great touch! Boy, do I wish we could all come visit -- together, but alas your house might be a bit too full!

Count me in, too, Bonnie! I'm thrilled that some of your wonderful 'leftovers' made it onto our Sketch! I love the two-tone diagonal panel but the folded corner on your class card might just make it onto my next Sketch!
Thanks for always inspiring me, my friend - and for sending those lovely leaves to FMS!
