Wild Blossoms for Seize the Birthday

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I am happy and honored to be a Surprise Party Guest at
Seize the Birthday!

I have two cards to bring to the party.

First of all, the challenge, brought to us by the very talented Nanc'

I've used a new to me stencil from Papertrey Ink.

I'll confess the first card I did with it was not quite CAS.  It turned out to
be my favorite.  I'll share that at the end of this post.

I used Distress inks and blending brushes to stencil the designs.

After I had the stenciling done, I cut the design and used the Subtle embossing
folder on the part I intended to use.  Then I had trouble figuring out how to
lay it out and keep it CAS.

The Peek-a-boo Frame rescued that dilemma.

There was a flower left over so I got another CAS card.

Finally the not CAS card...

Now it's your turn.

Be sure to go see what the wonderful Design Team and Johanna have done.
You're sure to be inspired.  Then join us with a birthday card.  You can use this option
or any birthday card will do.

Bonnie, first I must tell you that this set is one of my favorites that I borrow from Marcia nearly every time we gather! I love your ink choices and the little white dots you've added to the finished images are soooo cute! LOve the peek-a-boo, the lovely brown backer on card two, and OH your first time out/original is really stunning!
Congrats on being their Surprise Party Guest!

Glad to have you as our Surprise Party Guest Bonnie. Your three cards are beautiful. Love the colors you used to stencil these pretty flowers and the way you framed the first and second cards. I agree with Michele, the third one is stunning. Thanks for sharing with us.

I have that stencil and need to get it out again after seeing your cards, Bonnie. I love that you got a two-fer from one inked panel and the colors of the flowers are lovely.

Oh, wowie, what a fabulous display of beauty here! As each card scrolled up I was more and more smitten, all the way through to the amazing #3! I love the CAS cards just as much. The butterfly on each is a sweet accent, and the Burlap EF is on my wish list. Just waiting for some other things to be back in stock. Congratulations on your Surprise Party Guest spot!

Wonderful! Both cards are stunning, for different reasons but they are both terrific, Bonnie

Three beautiful cards, Bonnie! Your stencilling is excellent with wonderful colour shading. Great idea to use the Subtle ef on the flowers of the first card - I never think to dry emboss an image.

Don't you just LOVE that stencil Bonnie?!! It's one of my favorites and I'm guessing after 3 cards, it might be one of your favorites now too?! Your 3rd card is beautiful but I'm loving the 2 CAS ones the most, and how cool that you got them both from one panel...gotta love that! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Great work with your new stencil, Bonnie. Each design is beautiful design with lovely details. Have to say, even though I'm a CAS girl, my fav is the same as you ... your last card is GORGEOUS! xx

I just love how you solved your dilemma with that lovely frame and I really like the brown edges it created. Both cards are beautiful. Your embossed card front looks great too.

Clean and simple cards are difficult for me 'cause I keep wanting to add more and more stuff. But I think your card examples here have given me inspiration as I love the all. Each one got better and better as I scrolled down through your post.

Like many who have commented, this is one of my favorite stencils, and I've not used it very often. I LOVE the colors you chose, and your CAS design! I love the last card just as much however.
