Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's been a super busy week, but I squeaked out enough time to make a
card for the Flower Challenge. Whew!
This is a spankin' new to me set. My friend Michele has used this set several times
and each time I wished for it more. It's really a Christmas set and the poinsettia is making
an appearance in my next class, but this sweet little flower needed some time to shine too.
I cut everything from Neenah Solar White. The flower and leaves were colored with
blending brushes and Distress ink. I used the pierced background die too and the
stenciled leaves were done using left over ink on the brush and the outcuts of the leaves.
I used Jen M.'s sketch for Freshly Made Sketches #709 for the layout.
I don't usually do square cards but it left a good opportunity to let some of the leaves
come off the edge and it will still fit well into an envelope.
The Flower Challenge #107 is Add Purple
thus the choice of the flower.
And since this is a debut for this die set, I'll take it over to Darnell's
Card Recipe
Stamps: Concord & 9th
Ink: Wilted Violet, Villianous Potion, Peeled Paint, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Neenah Solar White
Other: Festive Blooms Dies (C9), Essential Modern Ovals dies (SB)

You used our challenge color and the sketch so beautifully on this lovely, lovely card Bonnie, and I love your idea that it doesn't matter if the leaves hang over the edge of this square card and will still fit into an A2 size envelope! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at The Flower Challenge!! Hugs. :0)
Love your pretty purple flower Bonnie. Your card is lovely with all the texture and details.
I thought that flower looked familiar but never thought of using it alone on a card. You've just given me ideas for different ways to use my set. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at The Flower Challenge.
You've combined those challenges perfectly, Bonnie! Your single purple bloom looks right at home on that marvelous pierced background. Pretty card!
The two challenges worked beautifully together with the pretty flower and leaves. It's nice to have a set that can do double duty and not have to be forgotten after Christmas. The pierced background looks amazing with the simplicity of your design. I looked at this gorgeous bundle and it's really quite a bargain.
Beautiful purple! What a sweet card
Using what is intended for a Christmas card to create a lovely birthday card is so smart, Bonnie! The flower is beautiful and I love the design with the leaves off the edge, along with the subtle pierced background. Thanks for playing along with us at The Flower Challenge!
