Christmas Flower

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A while back, a sweet friend gifted me with a box of goodies.
This beautiful poinsettia stamp was among them.

I stamped the image slightly off the page with white pigment ink and embossed
with white powder.  Using Distress Re-inkers, I carefully colored.

If you look closely you will see a slight pink 'glow' in the background.
That's what you do when you color outside the lines with red. LOL!

It was fun to color and a great pairing with this lovely Simon Says Stamp
Rejoice die that I believe is making it's debut.

I'm sad that The Flower Challenge is wrapping up it's run.
I have so enjoyed playing along and seeing all the inspiration from
the Design Team both past and present.

This is a beautiful poinsettia Bonnie, and the white embossing really makes the red and the lovely green leaves pop, and I love the gold 'rejoice' which looks great in gold to go with the background gold..a gorgeous card. x

Your Poinsettia is gorgeous Bonnie and I'm loving the bit of pink glow around it too! The white embossing adds such a nice outlining touch to your bloom too, and of course the gold in the splatters and sentiment make such an elegant statement! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at The Flower Challenge my friend...we've always appreciated you playing along each month!! Hugs. :0)

Gorgeous, Bonnie!!! You've inspired me to white heat emboss a poinsettia. It really pops against your beautiful red watercoloring. The gold border and sentiment add the perfect touch of elegance to your card. Thanks for sharing it with us at The Flower Challenge.

I laughed when I read your line about the pink glow - I always get some red outside the lines so might have to create some pink glows too! Love your rich vibrant colours and the gold border and sentiment!

I don't laugh out loud very often but when I do it is a real cackle! Honestly Bonnie, your comment about the pink and red made my day. We had just been talking about red and the fact that red has a habit of bleeding outside of the lines.
Your poinsettia card is eye popping and full of energy. As we get closer to Christmas we will all need some pop and some energy.
Great creation Bonnie!
