These Boots Were Made for Snowballing

It's Merry Monday time again.

One of the things I always liked about the snowmen in this set was the boots.

and Nina said....

That little snippet of Christmas paper that I used to paper piece his boots
and the tiniest snippet of Glimmer Paper for the snowball will get me into
Parsnip doesn't have to offer mulled wine twice!

I'm sure all of you are as busy with holiday preparations as we are here.

It's all so much fun though!

I hope you'll have a few minutes to join us at Merry Monday this week.

It will be our last challenge of 2015.

It's been so much fun seeing all your creations
and I'm looking forward to seeing even more in 2016!

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy!

Keeping Cool with Snow Much Fun

Summer has arrived with all the heat and humidity.  So I pulled out a snowman to play with.

This was the picture on my January page of one of my calendars.  The more I look at it the more it looks like a giant snowman hanging in the air.  I should have cut his feet out to sit on the top flag.  LOL, I'll send this to someone with a good sense of humor!

I used the sketch from Merry Monday.  There's still time to play over there.

Rudolph days lasts until the end of the month.  Sarn has a delightful card up there and some fun Christmas stamps for a lucky winner.

Festive Friday wants to see a tree on our card.

Winter Wonderland has an interesting challenge

3 snowflakes
2 papers
1 image

3 snowflakes at the top of the DSP (lots in the snowman), 2 decorative papers.  It might be a stretch for the one image, but I'm hoping it's close enough.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Snow Much Fun (retired), Lovely as a Tree, More Merry Messages
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn, Always Artichoke, Handsome Hunter (retired), SU Markers (Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black)

Snow

Here's another card for the Merry Monday challenge this week.  I had this stamped snowman in the UFO (UnFinishedObjects) box.  I love the way he fit in this sketch.

We had some SNOW last night!  I was so excited!  I turned on the floodlights and watched it through the bay window. How pretty.  There was a little on the ground this morning but it's melting fast. Not enough for a snowman for sure.  But that's OK.  I'm just so happy to see it falling.

Here's Lesley's wonderful sketch.

The Free 4 All challenge at SCS this morning is to use flags or banners on a card.  Got that covered.

I can add this card to the SCS Fan Club's January Christmas Challenge, Christmas Wedding. The snowman stamp is old,  the snowflakes from the Snow Swirled set are new (a Christmas present), and there's lots of blue.  Nothing borrowed on this one.   I know you have to be a Fan Club member to post on this challenge, but I think you can peek in the gallery even if you aren't.

I used some of the Illuminate Watermark ink with the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp.  It ended up making the snowman look splotchy.  LOL, kinda looks like the birds have been around too long! But it has a shimmery snowflakes.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Snow Much Fun, Snow Swirled, More Merry Messages, Itty, Bitty Backgrounds (retired)
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn, Pool Party, Island Indigo, SU Markers (Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Island Indigo)
Paper:  Pool Party, Whisper White, Island Indigo
Other: Illuminate Watermark Stampin' Pad, Square Jeweled Brad (retired), Kars Snowflake EF (Cuttlebug)

There's still time to make a Christmas card and link it up at Merry Monday.  You have until Sunday noon to join in.

Glad you could stop by!  And thanks so much when you leave a comment.  I really enjoy them!

Enjoy!

Merry Monday More Snow Fun

Wow, can you believe it's week 30 of the not so new year?  And I have a snowball throwing snowman this week for the Merry Monday challenge.  Watch out!

Here's Lesley's wonderful sketch.  I knew right away what I wanted to do with it.  I flipped the sketch again to make this guy and the sentiment work.

I randomly stamped some snowflakes with Whisper White craft ink on Crumb Cake.  The snowman is stamped with Jet Black StazOn and colored with markers.  Then I added some Dazzling Details around the edges, on the snowball and the ground under the snowman.

Have you seen the More Merry messages set yet?  It's fantastic and there are four sets of sentiments.  Not only the outside sentiments but some forthe inside of the card too.  This one fits in the largest of the Bitty Banners Framelit die.  I adhered it in the middle and flipped up the ends just a bit.

Check out the rest of the Design Team cards.  They're fantastic!

Merry Monday Snow Much Fun

It's Merry Monday time again.  I'm really enjoying seeing my box of Christmas cards grow.  Here's this week's card....

Here's Lesley's sketch

I flipped it so the snowball rolling bird would fit right.  I love all the stamps in this set, but I think this one is my favorite.  He just looks so happy!

I pulled out some decorative paper.  I still have some little pieces left.  I'm glad that Stampin' Up! has so many pretty Christmas papers this year because I need to restock.

I hope you'll check out the cards from the rest of the design team.  I've been seeing some awesome cards from them all week.  It's such an honor to be among them.

Merry Monday Snow Birdman

It's time for the Merry Monday challenge and Lesley gave us another great sketch....

I'd been waiting for a sketch where I could use this tall snowman with his bird friends.

I did a bit of coloring with markers and he was finished in a jiffy.

The snowflake was die cut with the Northern Frost Decorative strip die (retired).  I used some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet, adhered to Whisper White, before cutting.  When I removed the liner on the other side, it was easy to get Dazzling Diamonds to stick to it.  A drop of Dazzling Details gave the center a bit of color.

Be sure to check out the other Design Team cards

And check out the wonderful gallery entries too.  It was really hard to pick a favorite last week, but such a treat to be on the design team and to enjoy all the entries.  Won't you join us this week?
