More Copic Coloring on Vellum

Here's another card made from my play with Copic Markers and vellum.

As with the others, the embossed side (the side I did not color on)
looked spotty.  So I used the butterfly "wrong side up".

I stamped the sentiment using MISTI on a snippet of Mixed Media paper,
embossed the bottom and popped it up with a rectangle of fun foam.

The base of the card is covered with a piece of Sale-a-bration vellum
that was cut 1/2" taller than the card and folded over the top to adhere.
Adhesive behind the design piece further anchors the card.

There's still a couple of days left to enter at

All About Summer
Butterflies are one of my favorite things about Summer. Used my manual Big Shot.

The Time Out Challenge has this inspiration photo
Inspired by the white background, sampler on the wall, and bit of blue.

You have really developed the knack of coloring on vellum. I do not find that easy to get a pretty look at all. The vivid of the blue really shines, and I like the way you've embossed the focal point. Looks very pretty atop the vellum background too. TFS & Happy wkend. Hugs

I love you picked out the subtle wall background. It amazes me how we all choose different items from a photo to inspire us. It was this subtle background on your card that caught my eye and then the pop of colour from the butterfly. A true beauty Bonnie and I am so pleased you entered it into Time Out x

I'm amazed at the success you have with coloring on vellum! What a beautiful butterfly! I did try and the copics were just too wet so I had trouble blending. You did an amazing job of it!

Totally love this card Bonnie! Brilliant how you used the vellum (fixing it a bit more underneath the centre panel is a clever idea!), wonderful embossing on the layers and the butterfly is just so vibrant. And somewhere here I have a very similar sentiment stamp - isn't it just perfect?!

I just looked even closer and reread your 'ingredients' - I truly thoughy the vellum or perhaps the layer underneath it had been embossed. Love the patterned vellum - something else I have hidden away here as well. Sigh, I need a blitz!!

I have a thing for butterflies -- combining a beautifully colored butterfly with this saying -- wow, very heartfelt result. Plus the patterned vellum as background and how you attached it -- so clever.
