Our first, and very appropriate challenge for the year at
CAS Watercolour
is hosted by our very talented Susan
Here's what I did.
This was done with a Penny Black Brush Stroke stamp place in my MISTI.
I've inked small sections with Distress Markers, stamped then moved
the ink with a damp waterbrush and stamped again as needed
until I was happy with the images.
The big leaf on the left was the first one and didn't look too good.
Using a frame around it covered up the mess boo boo.
Some chunky Frantage added some snow to the scene.
The Design team and our talented Guest Designer, Janet
have some awesome samples to inspire you.
I hope to see your creations at
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Your wonderful watercoloured foliage is perfect for the theme Bonnie, and very honest of you to admit to a boo boo, but it looks perfectly framed within the pierced rectangle, and the colours, especially the berries, are really beautiful and love the pretty blue sky and falling snow too. x
Beautiful Winter foliage and red berries image, Bonnie. Perfect and beautifully watercolored stamped Winter card. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
I can feel the chill in the air with that icy blue sky and the drifting snowflakes! Love your watercolouring on the leaves and berries, and what a perfect sentiment! Thanks so much for making such a great card for the theme I chose!
Such an Icy look to your gorgeous card and what fabulous water colouring. Loving the splats of frantage and the frame is perfect too x.
Lovely card, Bonnie. The added 'snow' is a perfect finishing touch. xx
Wow, I checked out the stamp set just now at PB and now I know how beautifully your coloring brings the image to life, Bonnie! I love the depth of the colors and all the details including the fine veins. The chunky Frantage snow is a pretty finishing touch.
I would have never known your little secret until I read your blog. :-)

So soft and pretty! The frame is the perfect fit and I love the snowy splatter:)
There may have been a boo boo but you framed the image beautifully. Great watercolour and love the wash background.
Beautiful! Love the wide frame. It looks like it belongs there and not just to cover up a boo boo. Love your card!

What a beautiful card Bonnie! I love this image, love the colors you chose for it. Your sky is so pretty as well. Then there is the "snow", so love that snow falling! We would have never been the wiser about the boo boo if you hadn't told, the frame covered it up perfectly. Hugs, Brenda
BEAUTIFUL Wintry card Bonnie! Love that image and your water coloring is wonderful...and wouldn't even have known about the "boo-boo" as the frame looks like you always planned to add it! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)

Branches with berries are a terrific combination of colors for cards, especially in the winter. You captured the look of mid-winter perfectly!

Such a pretty stamp and so well coloured. The subtle blue sky keeps the subject wintery, especially with the splatters of those snowflakes. Definitely Winter Cheer, ...for me xx
I love how snow gently covers the picture. What a beautiful winter scene. Exactly like now with us in Poland, when it's snowing.
Hugs,
