Together with Penny Black

Hello friends.  I hope your week is off to a good start!

I love this Penny Black stamp and it's so easy to use.

I popped it in my MISTI and inked it up with Distress Ink Cubes and Markers.

A little touch with a damp waterbrush and more stamping got the
depth of color I was looking for.

When finished, I used the almost inkless stamp around the background to
give a little more depth.

And another play with this stamp.

A little darker shade of blue, a popped up frame and a little bee
made this a bit different.  We used this design, minus the bee and
popped up frame at my last class.

I'm entering at
I'm going with the Anything Goes

******Summer Colours******
Blue is the color of most swimming pools so I think it's a summer color

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Well, you did it again- I'm going shopping. Love that stamp and of course your blues are over the top gorgeous as well as the coverage you achieved with this technique. This is something I like to do. Thanks for sharing this. Love the subtle stamping in the background- perfect for people like me who just can't manage a soft wash.

Bonnie, what a beautiful stamp... and I love the way you've used Distress inks to ink it up! I always resist these silhouette stamps because I don't own any of the water color markers - you've well shown me that they aren't needed!

Both your cards are so pretty. Love the blues and how you mist the stamps to get that water color look. I have to try that. TFS

I love that stamp! I've already made two cards with mine. Great variations on using it, especially the second card with the popped up frame. And of course, I love the shades of blue!

I adore both of your cards Bonnie, they are so sweet and beautiful. Love the light stamping in the background, just enough ink to give the illusion of flowers back in the distance. The bee on your second card is so fun. Both amazing to say the least. Hugs, Brenda

Two Gorgeous flower card designs, Bonnie. I love both cards equally. I love how you stamped and watercolored the flowers, your color choices and stamped backgrounds with leftover ink on stamps:-) Wonderful how you popped up the frame with the overlap of the stamped flowers on the 2nd card. There is a name for that technique, but can't remember. TFS your beauties, my friend. Hugs..Nancy
