There's a new challenge at CAS Watercolour.
Our talented and so sweet Marcia is hosting the challenge this month.
I bought this stamp over a year ago to do a card for DH.
It seemed perfect for this challenge and for a Valentine or
anniversary card for him too.
It was tricky coloring the design without turning the swans pink!
I have a love/hate relationship with red!
It turned out fine and I think he'll like it.
I colored the design with Distress Ink smooshed on a palette and picked up
with a damp waterbrush. The rest of it is just plain stamping.

The swans with their necks forming a heart are particularly relevant for a valentine Bonnie, and classically elegant in black and white with just the flower behind the birds in red. A gorgeous card. x

This is the sweetest image with the swans. What a perfect card for hubby for either occasion. The red is so subtle and adds depth. This card is so striking.

Great masculine image for a valentine, Bonnie. I totally understand the red crisis. I have already tried two cards for the challenge and they ended up in the trash. I have another idea so I hope I can get it done in time.
Your card has a great symbolism.
A beautiful stamp, but I think it's quite difficult to process. Your economical coloring is the perfect solution for him. A wonderful, elegant card.
