Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Have you ever had a card that you struggled with?
This one was a struggle for me!
I did some soft sponging over a stencil and was happy with the background.
I was using this technique by Eileen Godwin and CASEing her card.
I stamped a silhouette flower in black and didn't like it.
It seemed too strong a contrast to the soft colors of the background.
So I winked it with Stella.
I liked that even less and set it aside.
I'd look at it and think that it needed something. Finally, the thought of
a die cut popped into my head.
If you look closely you can see the stamped flower behind the die cut.
I'm finally satisfied!
Here's a close up.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

I understand the struggle but I also know you nailed it in the end. It's a beautiful card. Sometimes my panels look better the next day and a new approach reveals itself...sometimes.
That was a beautiful save when you thought you didn't like it. It is really stunning. The sparkly die against that soft background really stands out. I would not have seen the stamped flower if you hadn't pointed it out because it blends right in.
Oh yes, that happens to me all the time and it seems even more so recently. It makes me very slow! I think your finished card is lovely, I really like the sparkle and the interesting background with the black contrast from the flower and the frame xx
This card looks perfect, and I can't believe its creation is associated with any difficulties ... Your background looks stunning, you've mastered this technique. Thank you for another great inspiration

You are so clever and I am so glad you just kept it close by and thought about it and in the end you made a great save to your satisfaction! It is beautiful, Bonnie!
I love this and thanks for the link to the tutorial. Guess I'm going to need a glue pen since this looks so neat! The silhouette die cut is perfect for it. Now I'm going to have to try this- after I place yet another order (grin).
So great that you didn’t throw it away and managed to save this beauty! You did fabulous with the technique. The background is so soft and dreamy.
Well this was worth persevering with Bonnie as you finished up with a beautiful card and love the soft background stencilling and glittery circles. x
I need to pull out my glue pen:) and that soft stenciling is so beautiful.
Great save, the die cut is the perfect addition.
Such a pretty and wispy background and I love the black silhouette against it Bonnie x. I am so glad you shared this with us as it is absolutely beautiful x.
A black silhouette die cut for a heavenly background. Can't see the stamped image behind. Love the glittered halos on that soft blending. Beautifully done xx
Awesome save, Bonnie! I love that beautiful background -- so delicate and pretty
WOW! Gorgeous card Bonnie! I LOVE the soft stenciling and the glitter circles. That black die-cut is just perfect! I think the dimension from it really adds so much to your card. I LOVE the contrast as well. Striking card! xx
Definitely complete, and beautiful, with that wonderful die-cut in black, Bonnie!

Beautiful soft sttenciling for your background with the additional soft stamping script, Bonnie. TFS the link to the technique. Your die cut silhouette flower finally turned out perfect too. TFS your beauty my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
Yes, I think we all have cards we struggle with but I am glad you saved yours. The background is so pretty and the black die cut flower is perfect on it. TFS
Oh, yes, I'd be happy with that background, too! Many times I've had to set something aside, and then many times I wish I'd never posted something, sigh... This turned out amazing in the end! I'm glad you were able to save that gorgeous background!
Great recovery! Love the glittered circles and the soft stencilling in the background. The black die cut makes a striking contrast!
You are so inventive - that's why they pay you the big bucks!
Interesting design and very dramatic with the Black and white.
Very attractive card Bonnie!

Well disguised Bonnie, oh and yes we all do that... some of my UFOs are years old, maybe I should now revisit them... I even made a card yesterday with the opening on the left.. It's a lovely card, nice soft colors for the silhouette flower, hugs Robyn
One would never know you struggled with this stunning card Bonnie! I love that soft background you have stenciled, the die cut bloom is perfect and does a great job at hiding the other stamped bloom. Love those sparkly circles you made too along with that simple sentiment. Nope, no one would have ever know you had any struggles with this card! Hugs, Brenda
Wonderful recovery, Bonnie! If I had not read your process, I would have never thought you had struggled with this card. Love the beautiful and ethereal background, and the clever design with the black strips tying flower silhouette to the background.
Hideko xx
