Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I've been working on that Christmas stash again.
I used a NBUS snowflake stamp from Hero Arts.
It's a big stamp!
I stamped it on a card front size of Neenah and heat embossed it with silver powder.
I need lots of practice on ink blending backgrounds, so I pulled out a blending brush
and went to work.
When I was finished with the blending, I cut it into two pieces. One was a little bigger
to center one of the biggest snowflakes. I matted the smaller piece on some silver foil,
and used a die to emboss a frame for the larger. Sorry, the camera didn't seem to pick
up that embossing.
There was shine, but I wanted sparkle, so I die cut some snowflakes from
silver Glimmer paper.
How's that for sparkle and shine?
I used some shiny stickers in the centers. They're nice and flat so
the cards will be easy to mail.

Bonnie this is so gorgeous!! I adore the blue especially with the sparkle...
Gorgeous blue and silver colour combination and the extra glimmer paper and the die cuts look so pretty. Beautiful cards Bonnie, both of them x.
The ink blending is perfect and what a great idea to do a large blend and then split it. I love all this shimmer, shine and sparkle (as well as the glitz, glitter and gleam! Vicky x
Lovely and of course blue and white or silver is my favorite.
It's funny I purchased a big stamp from Hero Arts yesterday that was called Christmas swirl and couldn't remember if it was this one or not. I had to go look. It's not, but I'll be making some of the same type cards with it. [Bunny]
Two beauties Bonnie and boy do they sparkle!! And your backgrounds are beautifully blended!! Lovely, lovely cards my friend and YAY to you for working on that Christmas stash!! Hope you have a great weekend!! Hugs. :0)
The blending looks just great! You have to have sparkle for snowflakes and these are beautiful and shiny. Cool that you got two cards from your blend.
Both lovely cards. I really like how you have lined the die cut snowflakes up with the heat embossed ones. Thanks for playing along with Christmas Craft Creations. X
Very pretty metallic and glittery snowflakes which look beautiful against the bright blue background and love the silver embossed sentiment on a strip across the card Bonnie. x
Gorgeous shine and perfect ink blending xx
Two beautiful cards that shine and shimmer with silver and glitter. Gorgeous, my friend! xx
I'm so happy to see your cards inspiring me to build my Christmas stash. I love a blue and silver combo and yours beautifully sparkly.
Oh, cards in my favorite winter colors! Blue, white and silver are the coolest set for winter. I love the silver embossing for snowflakes and the glitter snowflakes. They look stunning against your blue background !!

Really very lovely, Bonnie... though I will admit that I'd hoped I wouldn't see another snowflake this year! lol Yours are much more beautiful!

You painted that background? That would have made me a nervous wreck.
I thought snow flakes were stamped on blue paper. I need to practice everything! The glittery snowflakes on the top of the card really sets your card off and I love the sparkle inside the card.
I don't know what it is like in Cary, but here on Amelia Island it is cold and grey.
- well I meant to say, I love the sparkle on the die cut snowflakes and the jewel in the center. It is the one thing I miss since we left North Carolina - snow!
Sandy xx

Gorgeous cards Bonnie! From the looks of your cards, that had to be a big stamp. lol I love it though and love how your cards came out. The sparkle and shine is just beautiful. Hugs, Brenda
Blue, silver, and white - one of my favourite colour combinations for Christmas cards! Love those sparkly snowflakes. Great work on the ink blending and how nice to end up with two background. Both layouts are fabulous.
Both cards are fabulous with lots of sparkle and shine, Bonnie! You cut the heat-embossed and then blue ink blended piece into the perfect pieces. The focus snowflakes are in the well-balanced positions!

Thirteen, wow that's a special birthday because it has the word TEEN in it, like suddenly being a grow-up. A very special card for a very special birthday! xx
Blue and silver are always a beautiful combination, Bonnie, and your bright blue inking is fabulous. Love all the glitter and shine.
