Brayering with Zoom

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I recently Zoomed with friends and visited the brayer technique.

I've tried and tried and not had the best results.

But I found if I just looked at a small portion of my brayered piece,
I wasn't as offended.

The rest of the Zoom group did some beautiful work that was worthy
of a whole background.

This one wasn't so bad.  Maybe I need to stick to one or two colors?

I had fun crafting with friends.  I find it doesn't matter what we do as it's
fun to do something together.

All three cards are fantastic, Bonnie and I see nothing wrong with your brayering. I certainly can relate to the frustration too! I was the bumbling idiot in a class I took with Michelle Zindorf! I think your backgrounds came out great. I also love the snow you added to your images with the white pen. It really made a difference.

I think your brayer cards look beautiful. You blended so well and made lovely scenes over them. It is always fun to zoom with friends no matter what we make or just visit.

All three are wonderful backgrounds Bonnie and such pretty colours, and the added focal images and die cut embellishments all work brilliantly. x

You're too hard on yourself Bonnie as ALL of these cards are FABULOUS!! I have to say that the middle one is my favorite though...maybe because we woke up to frost all over everything this morning, and your card reminds me just how beautiful all that white looks against a beautiful blue sky! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)

I agree with Marcia. You are too hard on yourself. All of the backgrounds look lovely and have wonderful depth of color. Beautiful cards.

I think your brayering turned out really well, Bonnie. It always looks better once it's got images stamped on it. I especially love the slimline one with the embossed background and the addition of the white die cuts. Such a beautiful composition.

I think you brayering looks wonderful, Bonnie, but I'm even more impressed with the snow on the PB Nature's Friends grasses. I've tried that numberous times with less than satisfactory results.

I never got the hang of the brayer either, Bonnie, however, your examples today are all beautiful! I especially like the middle blue card. So stunning and wintery. My brayer is no longer getting inked up, but I use it to smooth out my paper layers after I glue each one down. It's smoother than my hand. :-)

All three brayer backgrounds are fabulous, Bonnie! You created beautiful nature scenes. The dry embossing and the die-cut branch and greens are wonderful additions! So glad to hear that you had so much fun crafting with your friends!

Bonnie, you created some beautiful brayered backgrounds, I love the stamps you used with each one. You're right the zoom times are more about friends getting together rather than what we make ♥

They all look gorgeous to me, Bonnie! I was never much good at brayering and seemed like I wasted a lot of ink, but I know what you mean about crafting with friends. It's the best! Your cards are all absolutely stunning. I love how you did the fence on the third card. Just wow.

Yay! What a special time to have with your friends. I think your brayered backgrounds and your cards are wonderful.

Don't knock your own work like that, these are all pretty amazing. Your brayered backgrounds look stunning on each of these cards. I think my favourite is the last one. I just love those grasses against that lovely sky and the little bird is a perfect finishing touch. I don't know why we are always so hard on ourselves. I know I can't really talk, as I am an offender too! xx

Stunning cards, Bonnie. The first is as lovely as the sky on a winter dawn. On the second card you achieved a beautiful ombre effect, these beautiful trees look great against this background, and the third card stopped my heart for a while !! Your background looks phenomenal!
