Winterberry Merry Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's almost time to start sending out Christmas cards and I still need a few.
So I'm grabbing every chance I get to get in the studio and work on them.
I think I need to work a little faster!

When I saw the Inspired By Challenge photo this week, the candles made me
think of the background I'd done a few weeks ago with Paper Glaze and a stencil.
The white glaze puts me in mind of a candle.

So I die cut a berry branch from mixed media paper, my Distress Markers and waterbrush
and colored it up.

Challenges:
Inspired By Challenge #196 - Christmas Splendor

I love the painting on that die cut. Those berries are done SO perfectly and so are the leaves! That paper glaze makes a fantastic background too. Love this design!

That background looks fabulous, I thought it was heat embossing until I read your post. Very good idea for a background and very effective xx

Really pretty, Bonnie, and I definitely see the "candle" in the glaze effects. What a pretty stencil for making that subtle yet beautiful background -- your painting on your branch is perfect!

Oh Bonnie, this card is just gorgeous! I love that die you used and of course you have watercolored it to perfection. I don't know what glaze is, is it like embossing powder to where it has to be heated??? Whatever it is, it is just beautiful on your background stamping. I really love this card! I don't seem to do any fast, instead I find I'm getting slower and slower in everything I do! lol Hugs, Brenda

That snowdrop glaze is beautiful. I really didn't think I needed any glazes... I love your beautifully painted leaves and berries too.

Really fabulous watercolouring Bonnie...those berries look as though you could pick them off the pretty leafy branch, and the white glaze words make the most perfect background. x
