Blue and Yellow

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm trying to work through my stash of Never Before Used Schtuff (NBUS).

A sweet little girl recently pointed out that I "sure have a lot of stuff"!
She didn't even see my NBUS stash!

This is a stamp that I bought at least a year ago.  I had stamped it a couple of times on
watercolor paper and took it to the beach to color.

I ended up using my watercolor coloring book instead and these stamped pieces had
been sitting on my table since.

The Flower Challenge is blue and yellow so I pulled out some watercolor pans
that I though would work and got busy.  (I mixed some of the blue and the yellow
on my palette to get the green for leaves and stems.)

It's a large stamp and  I ended up with an A7 size card.  The base is two pieces
of cardstock with a 1/2" hinge on the left size.

I wonder how long it will take to get the other stamped piece colored?

The Flower Challenge #69 - Blue and Yellow

We're all birds of a feather, Bonnie! Seeing this beautiful piece makes me want to shop, but instead I'll just go have another look in my NBUS baskets. You know I'm on a mission... Exquisite no-line water coloring. A gorgeous and inspiring work of art!

One of my favourite colour combinations - love the way you used the blue and yellow! Great layering and use of the twine. I like the way you balanced everything with the little strip of coloured cs on the left.

Love that stamp and you did an outstanding job of painting it! I'm sure that took you quite a while but it was worth it. Love the soft background which is something I never could do. Beautiful card and I did look up the stamp. It's now on my wish list!

Such beautiful watercoloured flowers Bonnie and I love the blue and yellow, and you have kept the green perfectly in tune by mixing it from them. I love the added blue twine and the sweet narrow piece of yellow ribbon along the edge, and also that cute little bee. x

This card was well worth waiting for, it is beautiful. Blue and yellow is such a great color combo and it looks so fresh on these flowers. The little girl's comment reminds me of a quote I heard. "I knew when she said I have too much craft stuff we could never be friends"!

I have already left a comment about your beautifully watercoloured floral, but I completely forgot to put my GD hat on and say thank you for joining us over at the NBUS Challenge again this month. x
