Stencil Monoprint with Group of Seven Cardmakers

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

This month the Group of Seven Cardmakers are using stencil monoprint
as our technique.

I have a very light monoprint background.  I blotted the piece after pressing the
monoprint onto the paper.

Since I had this pumpkin die out and wanted to join in at Color Hues,
a pink pumpkin seemed to be in order.  Emmy loves pink so this will go to her.

I was surprised when I Googled pink pumpkins that there are such a thing!
Who knew?  Certainly not me, but I think it's a terrific idea!

I used another stencil and purple ink for the next card.

Again, I blotted the print after pressing it to the paper and got a very light piece.
It's framed with die cut frames that Michele brought to share.

The Alstroemeria die cut was in the envelope and colored with Distress inks.

If you're interested in trying this technique, there are directions and video links on
the Group of Seven website.
The rest of the gals have some fantastic samples so I hope you'll check them out.  There's
also a linky there if you'd like to share something you've made using this technique.

I have more cards in the works using this technique.  I'll be back with them later.

Those pale monoprints are just perfect for your pinks and lilac colored die cuts, Bonnie! Two beautiful cards!
I didn't know there were pink pumpkins either! But I'd love one!

What a fabulous pink pumpkin, Bonnie. The lightly printed background looks lovely with it. In fact I love how light both monoprints are as they don't distract from the main feature.

Those pale monoprints make lovely backgrounds for both of your cards Bonnie. I love your pink pumpkin with the white flowers, so pretty. The frames on your second card make that purple flower shine.

You've made two gorgeous cards with those monoprint backgrounds, Bonnie! I knew there were other colors of pumpkins but pink? I'm totally smitten with that idea and your pretty card! Thanks so much for sharing over at Color Hues!

Two lovely stencil monoprints - beautiful in those soft colours. Great pink pumpkin on the first one - I saw some pink pumpkins in a nursery's autumn display recently! The second card is gorgeous with that purple Alstoemeria - love the gold accents on it.
