Joy

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been cleaning out my Christmas UFO box and found this stamped music piece that
had been stenciled too.

The background was too dark so covered with thin layer of gesso.

Then it got put in the box.

Determined to find a home for all these "treasures" or file them in the bin,
I popped it over an piece of gray and thought it didn't look too bad.

The poinsettias were in the box too and they found a home here as well as a
sparkly Joy.

The UFO box is getting lighter.  I wish I was too.  Oh well, life is too short
to pass up cookies!

Card Recipe

Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Smoky Slate, Silver Glimmer
Other:  Berry Stencil (Lavinia), Gesso, Greetings Die (PB), Layered Poinsettia Dies (Spl), Stitched Rectangles Die (SSS),

Enjoy!

Cookies... who said cookies? lol
Bonnie, I'm so proud of you! You are really getting after that UFO box of yours - and every card is a treat, too! Think how easy Christmas 2025 will be!
I love the aged look the stenciling gives that sheet music! And who doesn't love a peachy Poinsettia... or a cookie? Both speak JOY to me!

Wow, your UFP box must be full (or less full) of great pieces. You have made another beautiful card with them. Love the pretty pink poinsettias and the sparkly Joy. You are right about the cookies. :)

Your UFO box elicits great joy -- you come out of there with the greatest cards! And who would EVER pass up cookies, I mean, just PASS the cookies!

I'm trying to reduce my UFOs too - either use them or toss them. Love your background - the gesso gives a nice effect. Fabulous colour combination!

Good for you for cleaning out the box and making such wonderful cards, Bonnie. The soft sheet music 'sings' as a backdrop for the lovely poinsettias.

This works well with the music print and the added pretty poinsettias, and a great idea to give it a coat of gesso to lighten it Bonnie, and perfect placed on the grey card and with the sparkly 'Joy' to finish. Great to use up those unfinished bits and pieces. x

Beautiful card! I'm determined to do what you are doing an build my Christmas stash for next year. I'm also recycling bits and pieces from cards that have been sent to me over the years. But I've NEVER heard of passing up cookies...especially Christmas ones!
