Sparkling Poinsettia

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been so busy decking the halls that I haven't had any time to craft! Gasp!

Yesterday, I was trying to straighten up the studio as it had become a dumping
ground for everything it seems.  When I could see the table again, I decided that
I just had to make a card.  I'd had this idea in my head for several days.
Fortunately, it came out pretty much as I imagined.

The torn vellum piece was sitting on the table.  It was a cast off from a previous
idea that didn't work out.

The tall poinsettia die was a NBUS that had come recently.

And I'd been thinking about how I could add sparkle to a flower.

I used cardstock that had already been glittered, thankfully.  It was not a good time
to try to glitter anything!  Or everything as usually happens.

It went together pretty quickly.  Getting the glue to dry on that glitter was
the hardest and most time consuming.  It kept wiggling around.

I didn't succeed in getting everything cleaned up in the studio, but it was fun
making a card for next year's stash.

Now to get that room cleaned up so I can wrap some presents....

Challenges:
Krafty Chicks #746 - Christmas
NBUS #69 - Never Before Used Schtuff - poinsettia

Card Recipe

Ink:   Encore Gold
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Vellum, Green Glitter (MB), Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer (SU)

Enjoy!

The struggle with glitter paper is real, Bonnie, but I'm so glad you persevered! This is SO beautiful and SPARKLY! We must have been on the same wavelength with that torn vellum yesterday!
A gorgeous addition to your 2025 stash, AND our gallery at The Flower Challenge!

It is always nice when a card idea comes to fruition successfully. I do love all that sparkle. It is beautifully offset by the calming vellum and embossed background xx

Ohhh, it's so beautiful! Got to have that Christmas sparkle on at least some of the cards. My stamp room used to be the dumping ground at Christmastime, but I put my foot down a few years ago and now I'm much happier. That said, I can't wait to clean up after the cards are done!
