Thanksgiving Berries

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Here's another card with leftovers from that last class.

My sweet friend Bobby chose a mood board for the Just Us Girls #793 challenge.
I was inspired by the orange berries on her mood board and there's orange berries
on the Four Seasons mood board too.

The berries are die cut from cold press watercolor paper and I found the easiest
way to color the cut was to use a finger dauber to add ink, then use a waterbrush to
blend.  The markers left a too dark border that wouldn't blend well.

We used a different embossing folder for the class card too.

It used the layout of the card you can see in this post and berries from another
card that I colored orange this time.  Here's the card from class...

Challenges:
Just Us Girls #793 -  Mood Board
Penny Black Saturday - Use Penny Black (die) with option of spots or stripes (spots on the berries?)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Bountiful Harvest (Verve OOB)
Ink:   More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green
Paper:   Watercolor (Arches Cold Press), Cinnamon Cider, Neenah Natural
Other:  Winter Berry Branch die (PB), Decorative Sentiments die (EMD), Fallen Leaves EF (SZ)

Enjoy!

Very pretty. Love the berries in the fall colors, along with the folded corner.

Bonnie, you'll have me reaching for those berries again before the day is done! I noticed lots of Bittersweet vining through the trees on our walk last night - hmmm, why hasn't someone made a die for those?
OH, do I love that folded corner - it might not be able to wait for my next sketch!
Such a glorious card!

You found the perfect way to make those berries look real, Bonnie. I love how the branch lies along the edge of the folded panel. This is a delightful card. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls.

Your berry branch is splendid, and wonderfully colored! I love the folded edge and the embosssed background, but your berries definitely take center stage in BOTH cards!

I never knew this bout myself until you started posting your Autumn cards - I LOVE the colors Fall!! I thought chocolate was just for eating but you have proved that the #1 use for chocolate is paired with the deep rusty colors of fall. Your berries have been beautifully colored - just perfect!

The die cut berries are beautifully coloured and I love them in the red as well as the orange Bonnie, and the Fallen Leaves EF makes a great background and a repeat of the fold back works well with this card too, and the brown makes a great contrast. x
