Remembering

Hello friends.  I'm glad you could join me on this special day.

Memorial Day or Decoration Day is a day to remember
all those who have died serving our country.

And for those who have not passed on, but live with
the injuries and loss.

Poppies are a symbol of Memorial Day.

Taps
Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well, safely rest
God is nigh.

Challenges:
Penny Black and More: Anything Goes
Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Anything Goes with option of using your favorite stamp.
My favorite Penny Black stamp is the one I'm using today: Poppies

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Blessings,

Hey Bonnie! This is so beautiful - I love the way you color with the distress markers!
We are looking at retirement living in Carey for seniors. The place I like the best is quite pricey - don't know what we will do - just started looking.
My best to you -
Sandy xx

Beautiful! The partial circle fits the image perfectly and the watercolouring is fabulous. I really like the colour of the top layer - it blends with the colouring of the image so well.

Bonnie, this is so perfect for Memorial day! Love that stamp! It reminds me of the little flower the vets give you when you make a donation. Your painting is beautifully done and love your framing.

Love your watercoloring, Bonnie, especially the subtle mix of colors in the background. Simply beautiful! The card has a special feeling and it's perfect for the title, "Remembering". Hideko xx

The card looks a bit like a snowball with poppies. But the biggest treasure of this card is watercolor, which gently melts away. But it's beautiful, Bonnie!
