I have a triple post today reminding that there's still time to play
at CAS Mix Up, CAS Watercolour and CAS Christmas.
You might want to grab a cup of coffee. This is a long post!
CAS Mix Up
Using Partial Die Cutting, Inking with Markers, Stamping, Embossing with Die
and Heat Embossing
The Challenge
I've inked this stamp with markers and stamped, then used a damp waterbrush
to blend the colors. I've used the die to die cut just the top of the butterfly,
then used the die to emboss the bottom. Then I went over the butterfly with
Wink of Stella so it shimmers in the light.
The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed with Silver.

CAS Watercolour
This month's challenge is
I've done stripes of blue and pink for my cool colors.
When dry, I sprayed with some shimmer spray.
It has a nice shimmer to it. Brrr!
The snowflake was die cut from a snippet of Neenah smacked with a
Wow embossing pad and heat embossed twice with a
sparkly teal embossing powder.
*******
The challenge
This was super quick. I trimmed the front of a repurposed Christmas card from last year
and used a tag topper punch for the top and corner rounder punch for the bottom.
I've popped it on top of a piece of embossed Neenah and added a
sparkly die cut merry. A little gold twine finished it off.
I hope you'll join us at
The challenges close on the 24th.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Your snowman repurposed tag is adorable. Your other cards are beautiful too.
I really like your soft snowflake card.
All 3 are FABULOUS Bonnie!! Your butterfly card is STUNNING and I love the colors!! Your card for the COOL challenge is perfection...brrrrrr!! And your tag card is just too cute and what a great idea to make a tag from a Christmas card...I'm going to go through all my Christmas cards now and see what I can re-purpose!! :0)
Three beautiful cards in different ways, Bonnie! Just love the partially cut butterfly on card one - so delicate! Gorgeous sky behind your snowflake on card two and what a darling snowman tag on card three!!
Oh Bonnie, what a wonderful trifecta of cards - love them all, especially the butterfly one!
Blessings
Maxine
What an array of beauties!! Love the partial die cut butterfly with those beautiful colours. Your watercolour BG with the snowflake is so soft and pretty and who could not love that snowman card!
Thank you for all the fabulous inspiration, Bon-Bon!! Each one is a delight! I'm going to try and get some crafty time early next week; things are unusually chaotic here ATM, but I hate to miss your challenges! Hugs, Dolly
Three beautiful cards, Bonnie! Great work on the partial die cutting - love the colours in that butterfly! What a perfect Christmas / winter thank you card with the soft colours (like a cold winter sky) and the gorgeous snowflake (love the heat embossing on it). And finally, great repurposing of the Christmas card into a tag - love the gold die cut sentiment, gold cord, and snowflake embossed background.
These are gorgeous, Bonnie!! I have been feeling really bad about missing all of the CAS challenges this month! Maybe I can incorporate all of them in ONE card? lol xx

Great creation, Bonnie. I love the colors of your butterfly and the variety of color intensities. The use of partial die cutting makes the card so special. Thank you for the great inspiration, Bonnie.
Hugs,

The background of the second card looks like a winter sky shortly after sunrise. I love these colors, and the silver, metallic snowflake looks wonderful on it. This card is simply wonderful
xx
And the third card makes me can't stop smiling. She is so cute, this snowman is cute and gives the impression of a good guy :-))

Wow, 3 fabulous cards with great techniques on each one. Love the way you did the butterfly on the first one. The snowflake is so sparkly on the pretty background, and the snowman tag is so cute. Thanks for sharing all these lovelies. Have a wonderful day.
Three fabulous cards, Bonnie! LOVE that butterfly. Using the die to partially cut and then partially dry emboss the rest is genius! The colours are gorgeous and it makes the most elegant sympathy card. Your cool colours background is so pretty. Love the blend of colours with the beautiful double-embossed snowflake. And your tag is adorable. Great upcycling, plus adding lots of details to make it even more special. Great work, my friend! xx
A trio of inspiring cards. Great idea to re-purpose a Christmas card. I think I need to buy a tag topper die now!
Bonnie your CAS Challenge cards are so inspiring I think my favourite is the butterfly with the partial die cut :)

Glorious inspiration Bonnie....Thank you. Extra loving the first really Wow butterfly card, which is amazing x.
All three cards are beautiful, Bonnie!
What a clever way of using the partial die-cutting technique, combining it with the embossing technique! Your butterfly is exquisite! You are so good at inking with markers. Love the shades of green blue and the way inks blended.
The shimmer over the pretty stripes makes a perfect snowy background for the snowflake.
And yay for turning a Christmas card to a cute tag!
Hideko xx
Awesome TRIO! The first is so artsy with that loose watery appeal. Love the partially cut bottom panel with the sentiment. The second give an icy look perfect for that gorgeous flake. And that third is brilliant recycling, something we should all think about. The dry embossing completes the card along with the gold twine and die cut sentiment. Great work, beautiful all three! xx
Beautiful, Bonnie, and my fave is your "upcycled" snowman on the last -- great use!
3 beautiful designs for each challenge Bonnie! The partially cut butterfly is so pretty on your sympathy card, the silver snowflake looks lovely over your softly colored background and that cute recycled snowman made a great tag card! xx
What a wonderful collection of cards! This butterfly stamp is one of my very favourites and is beautifully coloured!
Such beautiful cards, but I have to say the butterfly card is a stunner. Love all of them.
The colors on the butterfly are glorious, Bonnie. quite different from the soft snowflake background but both lovely. Re-purposing the Christmas card was such a great idea for your tag. Now why didn't I think of that?!
What a fabulous trio of cards Bonnie. The butterfly is stunning!! I love the soft colours on the snowflake design and the snowman on your tag looks so jolly xx
