CAS Challenges More Inspiration

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I have a triple post today reminding that there's still time to play
at CAS Mix Up, CAS Watercolour and CAS Christmas.

You might want to grab a cup of coffee.  This is a long post!

CAS Mix Up
Using Partial Die Cutting, Inking with Markers, Stamping, Embossing with Die
and Heat Embossing

I've inked this stamp with markers and stamped, then used a damp waterbrush
to blend the colors.  I've used the die to die cut just the top of the butterfly,
then used the die to emboss the bottom.  Then I went over the butterfly with
Wink of Stella so it shimmers in the light.

The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed with Silver.

*******

CAS Watercolour

This month's challenge is

I've done stripes of blue and pink for my cool colors.
When dry, I sprayed with some shimmer spray.
It has a nice shimmer to it.  Brrr!

The snowflake was die cut from a snippet of Neenah smacked with a
Wow embossing pad and heat embossed twice with a
sparkly teal embossing powder.

*******

This was super quick.  I trimmed the front of a repurposed Christmas card from last year
and used a tag topper punch for the top and corner rounder punch for the bottom.

I've popped it on top of a piece of embossed Neenah and added a
sparkly die cut merry.  A little gold twine finished it off.

I hope you'll join us at

The challenges close on the 24th.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Thank you for all the fabulous inspiration, Bon-Bon!! Each one is a delight! I'm going to try and get some crafty time early next week; things are unusually chaotic here ATM, but I hate to miss your challenges! Hugs, Dolly

Three beautiful cards, Bonnie! Great work on the partial die cutting - love the colours in that butterfly! What a perfect Christmas / winter thank you card with the soft colours (like a cold winter sky) and the gorgeous snowflake (love the heat embossing on it). And finally, great repurposing of the Christmas card into a tag - love the gold die cut sentiment, gold cord, and snowflake embossed background.

Three fabulous cards, Bonnie! LOVE that butterfly. Using the die to partially cut and then partially dry emboss the rest is genius! The colours are gorgeous and it makes the most elegant sympathy card. Your cool colours background is so pretty. Love the blend of colours with the beautiful double-embossed snowflake. And your tag is adorable. Great upcycling, plus adding lots of details to make it even more special. Great work, my friend! xx

All three cards are beautiful, Bonnie!
What a clever way of using the partial die-cutting technique, combining it with the embossing technique! Your butterfly is exquisite! You are so good at inking with markers. Love the shades of green blue and the way inks blended.
The shimmer over the pretty stripes makes a perfect snowy background for the snowflake.
And yay for turning a Christmas card to a cute tag!

Awesome TRIO! The first is so artsy with that loose watery appeal. Love the partially cut bottom panel with the sentiment. The second give an icy look perfect for that gorgeous flake. And that third is brilliant recycling, something we should all think about. The dry embossing completes the card along with the gold twine and die cut sentiment. Great work, beautiful all three! xx

The colors on the butterfly are glorious, Bonnie. quite different from the soft snowflake background but both lovely. Re-purposing the Christmas card was such a great idea for your tag. Now why didn't I think of that?!
