It's a rainy day here and I'm looking forward to a day in the studio.
I used the SSS Clipping Heart Die to cut a stencil from a piece of stamping
that was pulled from the trash can. It's Neenah paper.
You can see that I sponged the pink through the stencil onto my card front
and also stamped the script in the same color I sponged with.
I die cut again from a clean piece of Neenah, and placed it on the sponged area,
matching up the hearts.
Then I inked up my French Script stamp with white ink
and stamped it on the overlay and sponged area and heat embossed.
(It's important to make sure the sponging is dry before you do this step.)
There's an outline that I'd die cut with the hearts. You can see it on the picture above.
I used the white outline over the sponged hearts and the sponged outline
with some patterned paper.

Both card are gorgeous. The first looks like a love letter. Love the framing for both cards too. The second I truly thought was a piece of left over AI Yupo paper. I love the positioning of the pearls, such a beautiful touch.
Laughed when you thought of "confusing", when reading it back. That happens to me soooo often. xx

OK, I admit I'm a little confused on the process (doesn't take much for me either these days!!), but I do know BEAUTIFUL cards when I see them and both of these are absolutely lovely my friend! I think you're all set for Valentine's day!! :0)

I love both the cards, but I'm confused about how you did it - if you haven't chosen techniques to do at our retreat, I'd love it if you did that one as it's a great effect with the text stamping!

I was confused at die cut -- lol just kidding! This is very pretty and I love that you used the bits from both and made two fabulous cards!
Both are gorgeous but I too love the one using the AI background!
Wow Bonnie, all three cards are stunning! I'm not sure I quite followed your directions, but love how your cards came out. I love the first card, love the white embossing mixed with the pink embossing heart cut outs. Very romantic for sure as it reminds me of a love letter. lol The second card is very cool with the sponging left over's on the panel. I love the same color embossed or stamped and then the hearts cut out. A great die that is going to be so useful I think. Then there is the last card, I so love the paper you used, looks like watercolor and it is so fabulous! I also love the darker pink outline and the pearls. So pretty! Hugs, Brenda
Both cards are beautiful, Bonnie! The second photo (with a heat die) helped me to understand how you made the cards. You took a step to sponge the hearts in red and to stamp the red scrip before working on the white layer, right? I think the additional step made a big difference.
The patterned paper is wispy and pretty!

Actually, I'd stamped the pink first and didn't like it so that was the scrap I took from the trash. Just goes to show that you should wait before throwing anything away!

Two wonderful cards, Bonnie. I love the colorful embossing of sentiment on hearts, it's a bit enigmatic, as you did, but I guess I guess :-)) The second card looks like fragments of flowers from your hearts. Great designed cards
