It's a new month and a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.
My very talented and dear friend, Joanna is hosting our challenge this month.
I die cut the Joyful Flower from Penny Black from Neenah and used the piece left behind
as my stencil. Using a sponge dauber, I added color through the stencil.
I used another die cut flower to pop on the card as well. This time I used
some background pieces that ad been smooshed with ink and shimmer spray.
The flower head was done with Melon Mambo and Vanilla Shimmer.
The leaves are from Wild Wasabi and Gold Shimmer.
The rest of the pink flower background became the backing.
I love how it shows through this hemstitch frame.
I added a few prills to the centers of the flowers for texture.
My mixed media are Die Cut Stencil, Sponging through Stencil, Die Cutting, Smooshing,
Shimmer Sprays and Stamping
This is a great way to get more mileage out of our dies.

So pretty, Bonnie. I love that you have combined the stencilled flower with the die cut one, and those colours are screaming spring to me.

I love this PB die. I love the flower repetition, one cut out and the other made by stencil. It's very clever that you used the negative from die as a stencil.

I love this Dancing Duo. You always frame to my liking, repeating the blooms colours daintily behind the hemstitch. Prills, wow, what dimension. I have to look into those :D This die is precious and perfect for the challenge. xx
What a great look Bonnie with the stencilled and the die cut flowers next to one another, such a pretty look with the rectangular die cut pattern to frame them and a strong look for the sentiment too. x

How wonderful and clever to use both the die-cut and the stencil cut from the die, Bonnie! The flowers are so beautiful and I'm sure the shimmer is prettier in real life. Love that you let the colors of the background show through the hemstitch frame. Beautiful design as always!

I can't keep up with you this week! Great flower on your calendar page and I love the tuxedo look of the layered hearts on the Yupo with the Lindy's. The die cut background is so pretty. This card is so lovely and I like how you combined the die and the stenciled flower. It is such a pretty design and bright, happy colors.
Your design ideas and those "special Bonnie touches" as I call them always make me think "WOW". Interesting CAS Mix UP theme this month, which you took to an amazing level.
Bonnie, it would have been a shame to let that darling bloom sit unused! So very pretty!

WOW! LOVE this card!! Of course, you had me at pink flowers. :) The stenciled flower with the die-cut flower over top make an amazing design. So much beautiful texture. The hemstitch framing is the perfect finish. xx
