Bubbles and Baubles

Hi there.  I'm glad you stopped by!

I have a Twofer today.

This month's Twofer Challenge is

First my bubbles.....

I believe I first saw these Bubble Chicks at the Twofer Challenge.

When Stamping Bella had that good sale a while back, I treated myself to
both the stamps and the dies.  This was the perfect opportunity to get them out
of that NBUS box!

I stamped them with Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers.

A bubbly stencil with a bit of ink brushed through added interest to the
background and the die cut chicks fit perfectly in these die cut squares.

I can send this as a birthday card or to cheer someone up.

Next up is a Christmas card.  I used a marker to ink just the bubble part
of one of the floating chicks and cut the bubble off from the chick holding one.
There are extra smaller bubble stamps and dies in the set that I used for
the third bauble.  Again, I colored with Copics.

This time I colored the bird to be a Tufted Titmouse.

I've covered the baubles with Crystal Glaze and it blended the red into
the white streaks. I have since added some streaks with gouache paint,
but lazy me didn't take another photo.

Two FABULOUS cards Bonnie! I've never seen the bubble chicks before but they are absolutely ADORABLE...whether as chicks or a titmouse!! The way you colored your bubbles in the 1st card makes them so realistic it! And how you transformed your bubbles into Christmas ornaments is AMAZING! Well done on both of these my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Two fabulous cards Bonnie and the pretty chicks blowing bubbles are so cute and love the bubble in the background behind the three apertures and a great sentiment, and then using the bubbles for baubles on the Christmas card is such a great idea and love the bright red. x

Oh Bonnie! Now I feel like I "need" this set too, lol!! He is sooo adorable. What a fabulous sentiment to go along with those bubbly images. And that sweet stencil is the perfect backdrop for him, too. Love it! Awesome Christmas card. The green of the mat and the branches really makes those red bulbs pop. Great coloring of the titmouse, and those bulbs. Wonderful cards. Thanks so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. xo Bev

Oh goodness, they are just too cute for words! But I will try....cause you know me, I'm windy. Loving these little chicks and their bubbles. You first design is so cute, love how you made the bubbles look iridescent. Loving the background too-just so dang cute! Then there is your Christmas card, love how you took the bubbles and made them into ornaments. You did that really good! Love how you hung them from the tree branches. Then there is the Tufted Titmouse bird-he does indeed look amazing! Love how well you got his colors, you are not only a fantastic watercolorer, but also a Copic colorer! Love both of these so much! Hugs, Brenda

Oh, I love those chickens. They are so funny :-) Using them in such different cards confirms that these stamps are universal. Your bubble chicken card just enchanted me. I admire your technique of coloring these soap bubbles, it is sensational. I have to look around for this stamps.
