Window Shaker

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

While looking through my NBUS box, I found some die cut windows
that a friend and I shared a l-o-n-g time ago.  We think is was five or six years.

Finally an idea of what to do with them hit.
(We'd long forgotten what made us buy them.)

I don't often do shaker cards but they were the perfect project for these die cuts.

While I was at it, I did all four of my windows using different color combinations.

The bows from The Greetery are new to me thanks to a sweet friend sending
me some of her die cut bows.  They convinced me that I needed some.

The shaker elements are sequins I found at the thrift store and some glittery, sparkly bits
another friend gave me for my birthday.

The glitter does stick to the acetate, even after using and embossing buddy, but
I like how it resembles frost.

These gorgeous bows were cut from foil and glitter cardstock.
My camera doesn't like the sparkle, shine and reflection of the acetate,
but I love it!

These are fabulous, Bonnie. The bows are beautiful and add a festive touch. I'm glad the frosting is on the window and not on the ground. ;)

Bonnie, these are wonderful cards. That bow is stunning, I never thought to layer it...but now I will thanks to your inspiring cards. The windows are great for shakers. I got rid of my dies a while back but did cut some to keep just in case...now you've inspired me twice with these gorgeous cards.

I LOVE these and all shaker cards too! I don't know why I struggle with those always confusing which aperture should be the smaller one and mess it up every time. Here you are making so many of them. Love that bow and the greenery on the window day and your choices for the shaker part are fantastic!

Such pretty shaker window cards Bonnie! Love them done in all the different colours of bows. Those foil card stocks are beautiful and so pretty with the greenery you've added at the top as well. I really do like how the glitter sticks a bit to the acetate ... it does look like frost on them. :) A happy accident. xx

They work so well as shaker cards and how nice that you have finally used them. That is a good reason for keeping odd die cuts, they will always come to the top of the pile one day! The shaker has worked really well with the glitter, even if it wasn't intended. A very happy accident xx
