Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I'm excited to be Guest Designing for Penny Black Saturday!
It's one of my favorite challenges.
This challenge is always Anything Goes with an optional theme.
This month's option is TRANSPORT.
I used my Out to Sea die and cut it apart to get the largest sailboat
and some of the gulls.
I Zoomed with some friends a couple of weeks ago and we die a technique
called Faux Tearing. We basically tore some scrap paper and used it as a mask
to ink around. It leaves the look of torn paper without the bulk.
I cut a circle from my piece and really didn't intend to use the rest of the
piece on this card, But it fell on it and gave me an Eureka moment!
The boat has been cut three times and stacked. The sails are cut from a piece
of textured cardstock.
I hope you'll join in at Penny Black Saturday.
I'd love to see your card in the gallery.

Oh what a great idea, I've never heard of that technique. thanks for sharing it. Loving your card, super summery and I feel as if I need to take a sail...
What a stunning card Bonnie - this is exquisite. Love the colouring on the horizon behind the boat. The layering on the boat really makes it 'pop'

Came back to say many congratulations on guesting with this beauty Bonnie x.
OH, congratulations, Bonnie! Your gorgeous card has TRANSPORTED me back to one of my favorite films: Message in a Bottle!
I like your "Eureka moment" and this wonderful technique, too!

That technique makes perfect waves, Bonnie. The design of your card is fantastic. Makes me want to go sailing.
Perfect image for the PB optional theme! Such a lovely summer card and a terrific layout and colour scheme.
Forgot to say - great job on the faux tearing we did on our zoom meeting - it turned out so well for both the focal image and the background!
That's the best ocean background ever. Hands down. Making a note about the technique, but it takes a special artistic touch to turn out such loveliness. This is a beautiful card, Bonnie! Pinning.
Congratulations for being a guest designer. This is FABULOUS and love the colors you chose for the water. I also love that you painted the card base tying it all together. This one really caught my eye. What a calm scene, Bonnie!
beautiful Bonnie, the faux tearing is perfect for the ocean and I love your little boat :) your sea guls are perfectly coloured ♥
Wow Bonnie, love this card! I think your mind is still at the beach. lol I really love the look of all your torn paper, it makes the waves look like the white caps as they roll over in your scene. The sail boat is so fun and I love the gulls. I think anyone would love to be watching this scene before them or even out on that sailboat. Hugs, Brenda
Beautiful faux tearing and seascape card, Bonnie. I love how you were inspired to finish your card:-) TFS my friend. Love and Hugs...nancy
Congratulations on your GD spot at PB Saturday, Bonnie! What a stunning ocean/sailing scene! Your coloring, the design, and the faux tearing technique are all fabulous! The purple and the red pop beautifully on the blue ocean.

This card is so cool Bonnie and I love the Faux Tearing technique and will definitely have to give that a try!! It worked beautifully with all your water and sky for this card...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
I love the design Bonnie, it's just like looking through a porthole at that wonderful scene with the sweet birds and boat, and such pretty colours. I love the way you have created the waves and continued it on the front of the card too. x
Congrats on guesting, Bonnie! Your card is beautiful and so wonderfully peaceful!
You really get a sense of the sea movement and wind looking at this, well done. I think that is very difficult to achieve so what a perfect card for your GD spot. Congratulations xx
AMAZING design Bonnie. LOVE your faux tearing background and how you've used it for both the focus point and the background. Gorgeous! Great way to stretch the use of this amazing die. xx
I have been wowed by this creation - especially the water in the background - very realistic looking. Love the waves, the colors, especially the addition of the lilac. The ocean is one block from our house -- so I really should make some ocean themed cards. Seems like you made an ocean card before that I really liked.

Congratulations on GD! 🎉🎉🎉 Gorgeous card! Glad you used the whole faux torn technique panel… it gave the scene fabulous movement and completed the scene perfectly. Haven’t used the technique in ages, but have always loved how easy it is to do and gives amazing results.
Hello Bonnie! Love your lovely summer themed sailing card-all pretty in blue in white.Your ripped paper technique is perfect for this scene! Happy to have you as a GDT member too! ♥ Sue Kment
Gorgeous scene, Bonnie, really beautiful!
WOW !!! Your sea card is stunning and I love how you managed to create the impression of a rough sea! I also love how you added the wave drawing not only in the window, but also on the card panel. It looks really fascinating !! This is a stunning card !!!
