Thinking of You

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A while back my friend Nance invited me to her house to play with paper glaze.
It's like a pearlescent embossing paste and comes in different colors.  It's so creamy
and goes through a stencil like a dream!

I used Snowdrop White through this leaf stencil.  Long after it had dried, I
lightly sponged some color around it.

I found this piece of alcohol ink in my stash and used that to color this bird.
I love how the design of the ink looks like a wing!

Challenges:
CAS Mix Up - Stencil: Embossing Paste/Gel- (My mixed media are stencil, paper glaze, sponging, die cutting, alcohol ink, splattering and stamping.
Color Hues #43 - Blue & Green

What a fun day of play the two of you must have shared! This may be the same paste I used - creamy is the perfect word for it!
LOve your little bird - oh, I see that wing! It was just waiting to be seen by you, Bonnie!

What a fabulous card and so elegant Bonnie, and the pearlescent paste for the stencilled leaves and the added colour looks gorgeous, and the brilliant idea of using this alcohol inked piece for the bird which looks so different and works so well, and some splattering and the gold embossed sentiment finish it perfectly x

That is a beautiful card, Bonnie. I love the stencilling with the paper glaze. The sponging around it is so soft and pretty, and really sets off the paper glaze perfectly. The bird is gorgeous in those blue AIs.

I love this card, Bonnie! The vertically layered pearly leaves are awesome! The alcohol ink bird is so beautiful and the visual texture adds so much interest! I've thought of die-cutting a butterfly from an AI piece, but not a bird. Great idea!

I've never heard of paper glaze, but it looks amazing. This pearl effect is so subtle. The gentle sponging of the background looks like a perfect ombre. And I totally agree that the alcohol background pattern is a perfect fit for this little bird.
