Stencil x3 for CAS Mix Up April Challenge

I used my favorite Scraped Paint stencil again.

Can you tell that it's my favorite?

I used another stencil and sponged a bit of color on a tag.

Before I removed the stencil, I stamped that pretty fern over it.

Then I took a snippet of some heated copper from my dear friend Loll,
punched a couple of butterflies and dry embossed them.

Some crinkled ribbon finishes it off.

Lots of mixed media techniques and still CAS

Inlaid Daisy

I used my Penny Black Bashful die and cut from a piece of white,
a piece of green and a bit of "smooshed" watercolor paper.

Fit it all back into the negative cut of the white piece,
popped it over a piece embossed with my favorite SU folder
and was done.

Oh, I did stamp a little hello too.

My friends at Addicted to CAS have a fun challenge.

CAS Mix Up April Challenge

It's time for another CAS Mix Up Challenge

Loll chose the challenge for us this month and I know you're going to have lots of fun with it.

Lee-Anne Cross  is our Featured Designer this month.
Be sure to check out her card and the tutorial she has shared with us this month.

I've chosen to use Embossing Paste with my stencil.
I've also Inked the stamp with markers, watercolored a little scene
and die cut it into a tag.
I added a bit of ribbon, cotton thread and rhinestones for extra texture.

I can't wait to see how you choose to use your stencils!

Hope to see you at CAS Mix Up!

Best Thoughts with Color Lifting

Awhile ago, Jennifer McGuire showed a Distress Ink Lifting technique.

Of course I had to try it.

I wasn't as easy as Jennifer makes it look, but I finally got a passable image to share.

I ended up cutting it out because I went outside the lines.
(Grossly outside the lines.)

It made for an interesting layout, I think.

After lifting some of the color off the flower,
I dropped some Picked Raspberry on the wet petals
and I got more of the Mowed Lawn on the leaves and stem.

Here is another version the I consider one of my
Blunders and Boo Boos.

I'm not sure if this is what Darnell has in mind for her

Check it out on April 1st.

Sounds like fun!

Come back this afternoon to see the new
