Guest Designing for Craft Stampers Magazine

Hi.  I was the ecstatic winner of the Take it, Make It September Challenge
at Craft Stamper's Magazine.

So I'm a Guest Designer there today.

This card uses a technique that Karen Dunbrook shared with us.

Distress ink was rubbed directly from the inkpad on a long, narrow acrylic block,
sprayed and dragged the length of a piece of cardstock.

I repeated the process with another color.

I love the bright vibrant colors and they seemed perfect with
this Tim Holtz butterfly stamp and sentiment.

The butterfly is heat embossed to make it stand out more.

This is such a quick and fun technique!

The whole design is popped up on foam.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Guest Designing for Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends

Hello.

Today I'm Guest Designing for
Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll & Friends

I've had fun finding bits from my UFO box to put on tags.

I really liked the way the silver embossing looks over the stamped greenery
and the 25 die cut from Cherry Cobbler landed near this stamping when I took it
out of the box.  I love when my box shows me what to do!

This is the 4th day so there's still plenty of time for you to join in.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Bejeweled in Mahogany and Gold

Hello friends and welcome.

I love this Penny Black Stamp!

Did I say, I love this Penny Black Stamp?

This time I inked the flower with Aged Mahogany and Peeled Paint Distress Markers.

I had placed it on my MISTI so I added some more Mahogany to the center of the flower
and thumped some Forest Moss on the leaves and stems and stamped again.

I added some splatters with Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine
and a gold foil mat to match.

Challenges:
Flower Challenge #14: CAS
Just Us Girls: Thankful
Penny Black Saturday:  Thank You
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Thanks/Thanksgiving

Tag of Trees

It's Day 2 of Loll's Tag Challenge

For this challenge, requirements for "Mixed Media" are stamping, plus two mixed media elements (techniques or products).  The theme is Christmas.  Tags only please!

Using stamping, watercolor, alcohol ink, die cuts, heat embossing with Frantage

The tag came from my UFO box.  I think I cut it last year then couldn't decide
what to do with it.  I believe it was colored with Inka Gold smoosh technique.
It has a bit of shimmer in spots.

I stamped some winter trees with gray ink then sprinkled Frantage
chunky embossing powder and heat set from the back.

The snowbank was also a UFO and I die cut the tree from a
leftover piece of alcohol ink.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Santa Tag

Hello, peeps.

It's time for a challenge I look forward to every year.

Loll's Tag Challenge

For this challenge, requirements for "Mixed Media" are stamping, plus two mixed media elements (techniques or products).  The theme is Christmas.  Tags only please!

Here's my first tag.

I have stamping, coloring with Copics, tissue paper embossing and cardboard.

I've taken everything suitable for a tag from my Christmas UFO box.

I'm hoping to get lots of tags made from that.

The cardboard was already die cut and the Santa was colored and waiting to make an appearance.

I found a snippet of embossed tissue paper, (technique by Loll here)
and die cut it with a smaller die from this set.

A little thick baker's twine in Cherry Cobbler finished it off.

Now let's see what else I found in that box.....
