Gelli Print Leaves

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Last week the very talented Heather Telford shared a video technique
using a Gel Plate, Acrylic paint and Leaves from her garden.

I loved her results both on this post and here and decided to give it a try.

I was thrilled with the results.

I have very few colors of acrylic paint (but more are on the way).
With my limited colors and some leaves from my lantana plant,
I was able to get some good results.  A first for me with a gelli plate!

Thanks so much, Heather for sharing your awesome talent with us!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

This is stunning. The leaves just pop and have so much dimension and definition to them. Another thing I don't know about but will investigate. I love that you try all these things out and share results.

A brilliant result Bonnie - I am opposite to you - have lots of acrylic paints but no gelli plate!! (And sadly we're too far away from each other to share!) x

Oh my, Bonnie! I have no knowledge, or experience with a gelli plate, but you sure have me wishing I had one! Your Lantana leaves were such a perfect size for this technique!
Beyond beautiful, my friend! I can't wait for your new colors to arrive!

Wow! Yours came out beautiful. I must have watched that 4 times and had a ball playing. I did not get that great definition you achieved with my Japanese maple leaves but I sure had a lot of fun with it. I plan on doing more! I love your framing of these. They turned out so perfectly! Oh for more colors I sometimes use just white paint and reinkers. Works great!

These are both absolutely STUNNING Bonnie! I've heard of gel plates before but really had no idea what they were, so I'm glad you included links to Heather's site...what a cool, cool technique! And here I just told myself that I have to quit spending!! Well, maybe after this!! Haha! But anyway, your cards are absolutely lovely my friend. Hope you have a great weekend! Hugs. :0)

Wow, Bonnie, these are amazing! I have not tried gel printing, but of course have the gel plates *wink!! You have inspired me, I love leaves, can't seem to not buy more leaf stamps or dies, so I must go out in the yard and bring in some of my own leaves and try this technique!! Heart Hugs, Col

Great results with the Gel plate. Loving every detail of those leaves along with the light application of acrylics giving such and artsy appeal. The framing master, a technique you execute so perfectly.

These are gorgeous and amazing for your first attempt. I love the effect you can get with a gel plate but unfortunately am not very good with it, but I will keep trying. This is definitely one to emulate xx

Beautiful card! I have yet to figure out what gelli plate is, so I'm off to visit Heather. Meanwhile, yours looks wonderful indeed

You got great results using this gelli plate technique Bonnie and the picked leaves have such a pretty pattern on them which has come out brilliantly, and the yellow and green backgrounds set both cards off beautifully. I saw Heather do this and thought I might give it a try, but haven't got around to it yet. x

Wonderful and beautiful results with gelli plate, Bonnie! Your lantana leaves prints show very details and the background colors are perfect for the leaves.
Looking forward to many more of your gelli plate cards when you receive more acrylic paints! Thanks for sharing the Heather's video link.
