Just a Note for Penny Black

Hi there.  I'm glad you stopped by!

I'm Guest Designing for Penny Black Saturday Challenge again.
It's such an honor to be a part of that fantastic team!

This challenge is Anything Goes with an option of  Your Favourite Colours.

I love so many colors that I can't pick an actual favorite.
Yellow and red always appeal to me.  They seem so warm and friendly.

I've stamped one of the birdhouses from one of my NBUS sets onto
mixed media paper, heat embossed and watercolored with Distress Markers and a waterbrush.

I added a bit of doodling around the die cut square and popped on some
die cut branches.

Do check out the Design Teams fabulous creations and join in.

While I had the set out, I used the other birdhouse.

These cards are precious! The bit of doodling and the die cut branches on the first and the thin frame on the second set off those adorable and beautifully colored images. No wonder you are selected as a PB guest designer!

These birdhouses are so cute and the cardinal with his envelope is adorable. Your doodling added so much to that stitched frame. I thought it was a new PB die! The red and yellow look awesome together and so cheerful. Have a great weekend. Hope you aren't getting all that rain where you are.

Bonnie, these birdies and their homes are spot on wonderful! Lately, I have noted little nuances in your cards that make them extra special i.e. your choice of greenery on the first, the perfect sentiment on the second. Looking forward for more of your work, "cards to inspire"!

Great to see you guesting over at Penny Black and two great cards using these pretty birdhouses Bonnie. I love the square on its end and the added white foliage to decorate the bright and pretty image, and that little extra doodling around the frame gives it a folk art feel which goes brilliantly with the design. x

Boy it looks as if I am late to the party again. I have always liked Pennsylvania Dutch folk art and this holds with the wonderful use of bright and clear primary colors. I would love to have that birdhouse hanging in my yard. I also love the way you designed that card.
To be honest Bonnie, I think PB is lucky to have you!!!
