Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's time for Maureen's (Scraps of Life by Scrappymo) Rudolph Days where we're challenged
to do a Christmas card to share the end of each month (25th to the end).
I used a NBUS cardinal die that I've cut from red cardstock and sponged
with more color. The background is gesso applies through a stencil.
Challenges:
Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas (25th of the month to the end of the month)
NBUS - Never Before Used Schtuff
Christmas Craft Creations - No Stamping
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

What a regal looking cardinal! The sponging with red ink over the red card stock adds dimension and the gesso background sets it off so well.
The cardinal is beautifully coloured Bonnie and I love the dimension of the texture paste through the flourish stencil white on white, and finished with a glittery sentiment..perfect! x
What a beauty your Cardinal is Bonnie...I'm loving all the shades of red you used on him!! And your white on white background with the gesso looks awesome, but still lets the Cardinal shine! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Gorgeous! I have cardinals all over my feeders, and I love them! So this one is a definitely a favorite, especially with that gorgeous background!
That's my favourite stencil and the dimension is perfect for the beautiful red cardinal to shine Bonnie x.
I love that gesso background. The cardinal is gorgeous perched on the willow branch.
This is gorgeous, Bonnie! I'm fascinated by these birds as we don't have them in the UK, Jo x
Thanks for saying the background is gesso as I was just thinking what amazing and crisp embossing that is, I wonder how she did it! Wonderful cardinal too, I bet it will get good use xx

I do love Cardinals - the males feed the females, and those songs!
This is a gorgeous die - you've sponged him beautifully, Bonnie, and given him a lovely place to perch, too!

Hi Bonnie,
Happy Rudolf Days.
Oh isn't he the proudest of Birds sat there on that branch.
He looks amazing and so regal looking.
Love your super background created with gesso it looks so fab.
I just wish we had those Birds in the UK.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Wonderful gesso stencilled background! Would never think to use gesso, but it looks just as fabulous as embossing paste. Your cardinal pops beautifully against it. Since there is no stamps used, you should enter this over at CCC No Stamping challenge (https://christmas-craft-creations.blogspot.com/2021/04/april-challenge-reminder-no-stamping.html)
Beautiful, Bonnie. I can't get over the rich reds you manage to achieve on that cardinal. Your extra sponging really brings a 3-D effect to him. Love the background too as well as the die cut you used for a branch.
That cardinal is stunning against your gesso fancy background!
I so want to see a cardinal one day. We did not see any when we were in your state but hopefully, we will go there again one day.
Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
Such a beautiful card Bonnie. Thanks for joining the fun at Rudolph Days this month.

This is strikingly beautiful! I just love the depth of color on the cardinal!!
Mr. Cardinal looks so sharp sitting on your embossed background.
We have a lot of Cardinals here in Northern Florida. At first I did not realize that this is a Christmas card. I really like that background.
