Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I'm coloring again.
Day 6
Day7
Finished
I'm still not comfortable with the Gansai Tambi Watercolors
but I keep on trying.
A couple of you mentioned the scissors in your comments.
A friend had these scissors at my last class and I commented on how I'd
been looking for a pair at the thrift shop because they made me think of my
grandmother who had a pair like this. My friend gave me these scissors.
I have awesome friends!
I wonder what happened to Grandma's scissors?

Love this pretty card!!
I enjoyed seeing the three processes photos Bonnie and what a sweet card with fabulous water colouring x. Yes you do have awesome friends and how kind of her to gift you the scissors Bonnie x.
I love the card you made with your pretty bluebird. Great texture and design. I have those watercolors also and have a hard time using them.
I guess we just need more practice. :)
Oh, I love seeing the progression! Your card turned out just beautiful. I'm fond of bird stamps, and your card design is just so lovely with this one. I do like my Gansai Tambi paints and have been wanting to get them out again, but my room is making me crazy right now. Will maybe finish the desk today, sheesh.
I think your Gansai WC looks beautiful and perfect, Bonnie. I Love your bird image and LOVE your CAS card design. Beautiful scissors too. TFS Love and Hugs...Nancy
You are doing amazingly with your colouring, your little blue bird is pretty special and I love how you have framed him. I have a pair of scissors like that too. I love them xx
Our babies flew the nest-box while we weren't watching, Bonnie, so I'm extra happy to see your little beauty - in all the stages of his color!
You do have wonderful friends, because you are also a very wonderful friend!

Your watercolouring with Gansai Tambi is amazing on this card Bonnie. I think you don't need to keep trying ... you're there! I love this sweet bird on a branch. Great depth with your colours and brush strokes. The watercoloured wash background is so pretty and set's the image off perfectly. Those are a very cool pair of scissors. I have never seen ones like that before. What a wonderful friend to gift these to you. Love, Lolly
Gorgeous watercolored bird, Bonnie, and I love how you finished off the project with a circle window!! Fabulous scissors too - how sweet of your friend!! If it's anything to do with grandma, I probably have it - from my maternal grandma that is! Fun memories, eh?
What a beautiful little bluebird Bonnie and the softly watercoloured background and branch lets the bird stand out really well, and I love the way you have it behind the circular black edged aperture and with the added die cut leaves top and bottom and a black sentiment and pearls it looks great. What fantastic scissors and a wonderful gift from your awesome friend. x
What a beautifully painted image and background Bonnie - this is an exquisite card
Stay safe
Blessings

I have the fullest admiration for you for working with Gansai Tambi watercolors. I pretty much gave up on those. I’d say you succeeded perfectly. Love the soft background, something I’ve yet been able to do. Great work on your blue bird too!
Beautiful watercolored card. Love the bluebird. [Bunny]
I so want to be a good watercolorist…but it drives me crazy. Loved seeing your progression. I have a hard time not finishing a card right away once started.
It really feels good to find an idea blog post such as this, nice articles.
WOW! What an amazing job with watercolor. This bird is a great decoration for your card, my dear friend :-)
Such a beautiful card Bonnie x
One would never know that you aren't comfortable with these watercolors, but one would never know it! This bird is fabulous, I love the way you have watercolored it, it is just beautiful as is the card. The focus is on the bird, as it should be, but I love how you added those white leaves around the circle, give more texture along with the background of the card base. Love this! Hugs, Brenda
Someone once said that to get good at something you just need to keep practising! I love your pretty watercoloured bird with the splattered background. How sweet of your friend to give you the scissors so that you can think of your grandma often! Vicky x
Tweet finished card. Love seeing your colouring process.
Using the Gansai Tambi paints is a bit of a mystery to me, but I think you’ve used it beautifully.
Your watercolouring is definitely getting better - remember we're our own harshest critics! Love the pretty blue bird and the great background and framing - love the idea of putting the die cut branches around it.
He's beautiful! Great job! I find the Gansai paints are a little stronger in colour than my Primas... As you know I paint on plain CS so the consistency is different, I need to add more water with Gansai paints.
Beautiful job of watercoloring, Bonnie. I can see the feather strokes that bring him to life.
You blue bird of happiness is fantastic!!
Sandy xx
