More Metallic Watercolor on Black

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I have two more cards from my Metallic Watercolor on Black play.

Both stamps are from an old Hero Arts set.

On my first try, I over splattered and it looked like garbage on both designs.

So I tried again.

This time I didn't add the third color of splatter and I liked it better.

I cut out the sprigs from the offending pieces and added on top of the second
pieces for dimension.

I added both designs to a piece of gold foil and heat embossed a little sentiment for each.

Two more for the Christmas stash.

It's almost time to get those Christmas cards ready to mail.
I'm so thankful for these Christmas challenges that keep my stash growing
throughout the year!

Bonnie, they are both really gorgeous! I'd forgotten about this sweet mistletoe - but think the holly is new to me. WAIT are they both in one set? I'd better go look!
Soon my December design work will be done, and I can settle in for a bit of Christmas playtime - your painting on black is on my list!

I can't imagine anything card you do looking like garbage. These are simply gorgeous! Love the splattering and wish I could do it without it going everywhere except for the card.

These are just so beautiful. How frustrating for you re the splatters, but your second attempt has perfect splatters, well done. I love splatters but done often use them because of that risk. I find them really hard to get right. The people who get these cards are going to be very lucky xx

So pretty! I swear Bonnie, you make cards faster than I can leave comments!! How you come up with all these ideas is beyond me. I am convinced that you have someone to clean your house, do your laundry and the cooking.

I've been playing one-handed with my metallic watercolors since I've seen yours, Bonnie. The images you chose look beautiful with the gold embossing, metallic watercolors and splatters. Great save cutting them out and adding as a layer. So gorgeous!!

Wonderful Christmas cards, Bonnie! Great job with the metallic watercolouring on black. And great save by cutting out the sprigs from the oversplattered cards and adding them to these cards. Thanks so much for joining us at the Peace on Earth challenge.

These are both gorgeous, Bonnie! I give you credit for spattering as well as fussy cutting. Your metallic on black looks OUTSTANDING! I must try this some time.

Both of these cards are so striking Bonnie! This technique is so striking. I love the dimension you gave both of these from the "offending" pieces, nice way to use them up. Yes, time to soon get these cards in the mail, it just blows my mind how time gets away from me. I think it was our warm weather into November that has me messed up making me think it is only early Oct. lol Hugs, Brenda

I see two beautiful cards, Bonnie! I like the idea of adding a second die cut image. That's a great look. It's so hard to get the splatters just right, but yours have the look of a galaxy and add extra gorgeousness to your cards.

Bonnie these are both fantastic. They are so bold on the black background. The over splattered pieces have not been wasted and I think the extra dimension has added so much to them.

Thank you very much for your fabulous card which you have entered into our Christmas challenge

Stay healthy, happy, keep crafting and Creating Joy :)
