Stenciled Flowers

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today I'm sharing a card with CAS Stencil.

and

and

This pretty piece of patterned paper had been sitting out for quite a while.
I think it was in one of my birthday cards.  I didn't make note so thank you
to whoever sent it.

I used a stencil that my dear friend Nancy had gifted me and I
thought it would make a great birthday card for her.

I laid the stencil on the patterned paper and sponged some Distress ink
through it.  I liked the way the flowers showed up on the paper.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Hanukkah

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Jingle Belles is asking for Hanukkah cards.

I usually send out a couple Hanukkah cards each year so it's good to get them
ready to go.

I had this image stamped and heat embossed in my UFO box
so it was a quick and easy card.

I used some odds and end of cardstock and silver foil cardstock

It makes me happy to use some of those UFOs!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Winter Homestead for CAS Christmas

Hello and welcome.  It's time for a new challenge at
CAS Christmas.

This month is hosted by our super talented Susan.

This Serendipity (now sold at Impression Obsession) stamp was in
my NBUS box and I was delighted to have an excuse to use it.

I've stamped the scene on Mixed Media paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

To color I smooshed some ink on my palette and picked up color
with my water brush.  I really didn't do much coloring.

Chunky Frantage Embossing Powder made quite a blizzard over the scene.

Our Design Team has some beautiful inspiration pieces and this month and
we are joined by our very talented Guest Designer, Lyn.

You can check it all out at
CAS Christmas

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Maple Leaves for CAS Watercolour

Hi there.  It's time for another challenge at
CAS Watercolour
And we're celebrating our 3rd birthday!

Our fantastic Loll is hosting the challenge this month and she chose....

I've die cut some little maple leaves and watercolored them with re-inkers.

The branch was die cut from brown cardstock and covered with gesso which
added some dimension.  I watercolored over the dry gesso with brown re-inker.

The background was in my stash.  I stamped all over a whole piece of
watercolor paper then liberally spritzed with water.  The ink ran randomly leaving
some branches and leaves and a lot of green.

I added a little yellow liquid watercolor to the leaves and on some of
the white space to give the impression of sun shining through the leaves.

I love seeing the sun shine through the leaves!

Our very talented Design Team have painted some beautiful maple leaves
and we are thrilled to have our friend Ros who won the August challenge
join us as Guest Designer.  I hope you'll be inspired by their cards and join us at
CAS Watercolour

And don't forget it's a celebration this month!
Prizes
$25 SSS Gift Certificate for Challenge Winner

Let's celebrate!

Together with Love for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up!

This month I'm hosting and we're doing....

When I was at the ESCR retreat last May, we had a play with foiling and laminators.

This is a piece I did then and it's so nice to get it on a card!

We used some special glue on a stamp, stamped it onto our cardstock, laid a
piece of foil on top and put it through the laminator.  I used a holographic foil
and I love how the foil changes when the light hits it.

I've die cut the image, stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on vellum and
placed it popped up with foam on a dry embossed background.

There are several video links for foiling at the challenge site and not all of them
require a laminator which is good since I don't have one.

Our wonderful Design Team is joined by the very talented, Michele this month
.
I hope you'll add some foil to a project and share it with us at CAS Mix Up.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!
